On arrival, transfer to our Hotel to the Fairway Hotel and Spa before departing on a short city tour around Johannesburg and Soweto. Johannesburg is the financial capital of the African continent. With a population of 5.8 Million people there is a diversity of all cultures which is evident by taking a city tour through this metropolis. Visiting the Apartheid Museum and Soweto we get a better picture of what this great African city can provide.

Firethorn or Bushwillow Golf Course
The Randpark Golf course boasts x2 18 holes courses. Both the manicured Bushwillow and the Firethorn 18 hole courses are found on the property and either can be played depending on the day of booking. The Firethorn Golf Course is used each year to host the Sunshine Tour which forms part of the European Tour. The ultimate in urban golfing waits to be played in the heart of Johannesburg and enjoying a late afternoon ice cold drink at the club house after a day of golfing.

Johannesburg to Bela-Bela
Take a quick 9 hole early morning on own account before a late morning departure from Johannesburg heading north in the bushveld area of Bela-Bela, we arrive early afternoon at the Mabula Game Reserve just 7km away from the Zebula Golf Estate. Opt in for a late afternoon sundowner Game Drive before settling in for the evening.

Zebula Golf Course
Set within the typical African Bushveld and surrounded by wildlife, the Zebula Golf Course is an 18 hole course that offers a little something different. Designed by Peter Matkovich. He followed the natural contours of the area and in doing so shows no impact on the natural environment, the course promises to be both challenging, playable and enjoyable for all levels.

Bela-Bela to Phalaborwa
Travelling in a northerly direction, our route passes through the small town of Mokopane and Tzaneen. Arriving mid-afternoon at our Lodge for the next two nights, the rest of the day is spent at leisure before an included night game drive in the Kruger National Park or a quick 9 holes before sunset. Should you opt for a quick 9 holes on own account its strongly advised to return to the club house before sunset as there are wild animals roaming the course after dark such as the resident Giraffe, Hippo and Crocodiles.

Hans Merensky Golf Course
The Hans Merensky par 72 championship course was established in 1967, designed by Bob Grimsdell and named after a German geologist that arrived seeking his fortune in 1904. The course promises to show its reputation in being where golf meets wildlife. Most of the day is dedicated playing this one of a kind course after returning from a morning open vehicle game drive in the Kruger National Park. Opt in for a night game drive in the Kruger National Park on own account before settling in for the evening.

Phalaborwa to Hazyview
A full day of sightseeing today taking a detour via the world famous Panorama Route. The route includes the 3 Rondawels over the Blyde River Canyon, the Bourkes Pot Holes and the Gods Window before arriving in the small town of Graskop in time for a late lunch on own account. Continuing the short distance from the small town of Graskop arriving in Hazyview at the Sabie River Sun. The rest of the day is at leisure or enjoy a quick 9 hole on own account before dinner.

Sabie River Sun Golf Course
The Sabie River Sun Golf course, located in the small town of Hazyview offers an 18 hole par 71 of only 5618 meters. Only 4 of the 18 holes do not have water hazards making for a challenging experience. As the course is located at the Kruger National Park, be aware of the resident Hippo and Crocodile in the main dam on the course. Most of the day is spent at leisure enjoying a full 18 hole round and relaxing late afternoon at the Hotel pool before sunset.

Hazyview to Malelane
A full day Kruger National Park game drive is enjoyed in open game viewer vehicle. The Kruger National Park is 19 485 km² and is regarded as one of Africa’s largest natural game reserves. With its high density of wildlife including all of the Big 5, sightings during the day could be the highlight of the safari before exiting the park in the south late afternoon. Enjoy the African sunset at the lodge pool before dinner.

Leopard Creek Golf Course
The Leopard Creek Golf course located in the town of Melelane, is a par 72 course designed by Gary Player and all that separates the course from the Kruger National Park is the Crocodile River. The Leopard Creek Golf Course is the true definition of a wildlife/Safari golfing experience and forms part of the Sunshine Tour. The day is dedicated to enjoying the last Kruger Park golf course. Arriving early afternoon back at our lodge, enjoy a relaxing afternoon before another afternoon open vehicle game drive.

Mjejane River Lodge to Johannesburg
Morning departure back to Johannesburg, driving through the farmlands of upper escarpment. Arriving mid-afternoon at our hotel, opt in for an optional 9 hole at the famous Houghton Golf Course before settling in for the evening and perhaps spending time catching up on our social media recording the epic 17 day South Africa Golfing Adventure.
