On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the evening, you will be picked up by our driver and then transferred to Nairobi Serena Hotel hotel overlooking the famous Uhuru Park where you will stay overnight. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Nairobi Serena Hotel.

Day 2

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart Nairobi and head north leaving the highlands. You'll drive down to the dry scrublands of Northern Kenya and head towards Samburu National Reserve. The permanent water and forest shade on the banks of Ewaso Nyiro River attract plentiful wildlife from the region including elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, oryx, vervet monkeys, zebras, and crocodiles. Leopards are usually spotted. This is one of the pleasantest parks in Kenya and is not too crowded. You will arrive in time for lunch, and enjoy a late afternoon game drive. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Samburu Lodge/ similar lodge/Luxury Tented Camp.

After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive. You will have lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a game drive. Optional: You can visit the local Samburu village. The Samburu people are close relatives of the Masai tribesmen and share a lot of similarities as both depend on livestock for livelihood with nomadic lifestyles. After breakfast, you will depart Samburu National Reserve and drive towards Nanyuki, for Sweetwaters Tented Camp just 30 km from the turn-off to Nanyuki town. En route you will cross the equator, which is very close to the second-highest mountain in Africa, the snow-capped Mount Kenya. Sweetwaters Tented Camp is located on a private game ranch and set on a 22,000-acre rhino and chimpanzee sanctuary on Ol Pejeta Ranch. You will have lunch at Sweetwaters Tented Camp. You will enjoy a late afternoon game drive where you may be able to see a variety of animals like rhinos, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, and plains game. Optional: A night game drive can be done before dinner. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.

You will enjoy an en-route game drive to Lake Nakuru Lodge/similar Lodge/Luxury Tented Camp for lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a game drive. The Lake Nakuru National Park, commonly referred to as the pink lake is also home to a huge colony of flamingo and the endangered black rhino. After breakfast, you will depart Lake Nakuru Lodge for Masai Mara National Reserve. You will have lunch at the Mara Sarova Tented Lodge. Masai Mara is located in the Great Rift Valley primarily on the open grasslands. The reserve is the Jewel of Kenya's Wildlife areas. After lunch, you will proceed for a game drive in search of rhinos, black-manned lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, and other plains games. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Mara Sarova Tented Lodge.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

You will enjoy an early morning game drive at sunrise when predators are active with the morning hunt of big cats. You will have an opportunity to capture a lion making a Kill as most of the time lions kill very early in the morning before sunrise. You will also experience the beauty of sunrise which reveals the backdrop of Masai Mara which means the dotted hills in Maa Language. Later, you will return to the lodge for the main breakfast. After breakfast, you will depart Masai Mara with the last picturesque of the Mara arriving in Nairobi late afternoon. You will be dropped off at either your hotel or airport to continue with your journey to the next destination.
