Zanzibar to Arusha and Tarangire National Park

We will collect you from your Stone Town hotel in time to board the 8:00am flight to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha at 9:15am and drive along a scenic route to Tarangire National Park. The park's beauty offers unparalleled game viewing, with elephants abound in the dry season.

Ancient baobab and thorn trees stipped from their bark are plentiful on the grasslands. Breathtaking views of the Maasai Steppe and mountains in the south make a stopover at Tarangire a memorable experience. You can see herds of elephants, zebras, buffalo, and oryxes who venture from Masai Mara to Tarangire in search of water. A few lions also prowl around, looking for unexpecting prey around the jungle. Inside the park, you will find an abundance of birds.

We will drive you to Fig Tree Lodge and Camp in the late afternoon for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is well known for its abundance of bird species. There are also different tree varieties, including sausage trees, umbrella trees, baobabs, and palms. Lake Manyara National Park hosts over 400 species of birds, such as pink flamingos, yellow-billed storks, and herons. In addition, the park is home to plenty of mammals, including zebras, lions, baboons, impalas, wildebeest, hippos, elephants, and buffaloes.

Manyara is the perfect place to rest, and the park's tranquillity guarantees you a relaxing atmosphere. Manyara comes from the Maasai word "emanyara," meaning "plants used to create hedges." Two-thirds of the park is an alkaline lake, so most of the park is submerged in alkaline water. Manyara is heaven for you if you are adventurous, thrill-seeking, and nature-loving.
