Collect your campervan in Cape Town and take a drive. Experience the vast landscapes between the Cape and inland to depart to the Karoo National Park—a park offering a multitude of activities enticing guests to want to stay longer.
Your camping accommodation consists of one of award-winning camping and caravan sites in the rugged Karoo environment. Communal ablutions (showers and baths) and kitchen facilities with stove plates and a scullery are available. All sites are equipped with 220V power points. A laundry with a washing machine and tumble drier is also available in the camp site.

Today take a slow drive to Oudtshoorn, a town in the Little Karoo, a semi-arid area in South Africa’s Western Cape. It’s known for its ostrich farms, the beautiful Cango Caves, and the Route 62 wine route. The nearby Cango Wildlife Ranch is a conservation park offering animal petting, and the Cango Caves is a must see. Hot summers and sunny, dry winters await the visitor to the Klein Karoo. Shielded from the coastal belt by the mountain ranges, the Klein Karoo enjoys many windless days.
Klein Plaas Holiday Resort, situated in Oudtshoorn, Western Cape, offers guests a relaxing stay at their delightfully, quiet and immaculately maintained resort. After experiencing the Klein Karoo, the next leg of your stay is at Addo National Park. The 3rd largest national park in South Africa (after the Kruger and Kgalagadi Parks). Although originally an elephant park, it now houses the Big Five. At the main camp there is a shop for basic food and drink supplies and curios. Also, within walking distance is a restaurant, swimming pool, bird hide and a waterhole viewing point where it is not unusual to see groups of elephants up to 50 or 70 at a time!

Addo Rest Camp is the popular main rest camp of the Addo Elephant National Park. A unique feature is the waterhole lookout point, floodlit at night and within the camp. There is also an underground hide that allows close encounters with wildlife at the waterhole. The evenings are punctuated with the calls of lion, spotted hyena and jackal while francolin and bokmakierie herald each dawn. Accommodations within the park are situated within easy walking distance of each other and of facilities such as the swimming pool, restaurant and shop.

We'll travel from the national park to the forest area. We will go to the incredibly beautiful area of land that lies between the Tsitsikamma Mountains and the sea stretches west to the Bloukrans River and east to Eerste River. The area is named after the San word that means ‘’place of abundant water’’.
The Tsitsikamma region is like a treasure trove; a crypt overflowing with protected indigenous forest that bears ancient trees like yellowwood, hard pear, stinkwood, and ironwood. It has fynbos covered landscape and the appearance of entrancing animals and birds such as the shy Knysna loerie. The Tsitsikamma forest is a protected conservation area that supports an incredibly diverse ecosystem.

After breakfast (at your own account), make your way to Sedgefield, but not before stopping at the Bloukrans Bridge Bungy to either test your adrenaline or just bear witness to the brave among us. Sedgefield is a beautiful seaside village surrounded entirely by lakes, sand dunes covered in fynbos, pine plantations, the Swartvlei Estuary and the Indian Ocean.
Described by some as a sleepy little village, Sedgefield borders the Goukamma Nature Reserve and the Wilderness National Park, leaving the visitor spoilt for choice when it comes to bird watching and walks through indigenous fauna and flora.
