Transfer to Murchison via Ziwa for rhino tracking
Following an early breakfast, you will drive from Kampala toward the northwest. Visit the impressive Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos and have lunch along the way. From there you will continue to Murchison Falls National Park. Have a short stopover at the top of the falls as you view the longest river in Africa. The Nile River forces its way through a small 7-meter gorge and continues to a thunderous drop to more than 43 meters below.

Morning game drive and boat cruise
In the morning you will have a game drive along the northern banks of the river and with the help of your guide, you will see various animals. You will then return for a late breakfast at the lodge, rest, and lunch. In the afternoon, you will have a boat ride to the bottom of the falls and you will see several animals such as hippos, giant crocodiles and birds, as well as Uganda kobs, elephants, and waterbucks. There will be an optional 1-hour hike to the top of the falls where you will find your driver who will transfer you back to the lodge.

Transfer to Kibale National Park
Today you will depart from Murchison Falls National Park and head southwest. Drive through the impressive Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley and have an en-route lunch. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest that has about 13 species of primates such as chimpanzees, grey-cheeked mangabeys, red-tailed monkeys, and red colobus monkeys.
You will have a guided nature walk in the evening where you will also visit the community and learn about the way of living of the community.

Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to kasese
Start your day with breakfast and head to Kanyanchu Visitor Center for short briefing on the guidelines of Chimp trekking. Later begin the search for the allocated Chimpanzee troop in the jungles of Kibale Forest and this will be done in the company of experienced Park Rangers, porters and other trekkers. The 4 to 5-hour forest walk will be very rewarding with views of other birds and primates like L'Hoest's monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and blue-tailed monkeys, as well as butterflies. Your guide will offer details about the impressive flora and fauna found in this verdant forest.
Once the chimpanzees are found, you will have a whole hour to be in their presence and retire to the lodge for lunch. Later pack your bags for a drive to Kasese Town at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Straightaway be checked in a Lodge/or Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Hike to sine camp at (2596 m) asl
We start by walking up the valley floor through tall forest trees of the Afro Montane Forest Zone. This is a steady climb with multitudes of birds and a chance of seeing blue monkeys scampering off through the forest. At times visitors may see troupes of 15 to 20 black and white Colobus monkeys as they swing through the tree tops. There are rare sightings of the L’Hoest monkey which are part of the Bukonzo cultural emblems and are protected by the virtue of the King or Omusinga or you may hear wild chimpanzee in the distance. There is wide variety of plant species from forest trees to bamboos thickets, low shrubs, flowers, fungi, and with many moss and lichen covered vines hanging from the tall trees creating an awesome appeal. Enock’s Falls are just 200 meters from Sine Hut and offer a splendid opportunity to capture a great screensaver for your memories.

Hike To Mutinda Camp (at 3688meters) via Kalalama Camp (at 3147 meters above sea level)
After a good breakfast, trekking starts at 8.30am and you enter the Bamboo-Mimulopsis Zone which is steep climb with many high steps. In the wet season the bamboo zone is rather muddy and slippery making the going slow. The trail meanders up and over several small knolls along a ridge top then drops down the side of the valley before climbing again, and in doing so cross several small streams and pass close to moss covered waterfalls. The trail twists and turns as you climb up the deep valley, which has an enormous variety of plants and flowers. This valley is unique with many Giant Heather trees creating a beautiful atmosphere often shrouded in mist.
In the afternoon you may wish to climb up to the top of the Mutinda Lookout (one to two hours up and one hour down) The views are amazing as you stand on moss covered rocks at 3,925 meters with views across the Rwenzori Mountains and down to Kasese town and Lake George.

Hike From Mutinda Camp to Bugata Camp (4062 meters)
On this day you will continue from Mutinda Camp (at 3688meters) through the boggy and wet vegetation as well as tussocks, entering the Alpine Vegetation zone with giant Lobelias (Lobellia gibberoa), groundsel (Senecio adnivalis) and cross Mutinda Valley. Continue hiking the steep Namusangi Valley (at 3840meters) where you will relish the jaw-dropping views of Mutinda Peaks.
From Namusangi Valley transverse several bog lands as you hike to Bugata Camp at 4062 meters. This is where you will rest for the day and enjoy views of Weismann’s peak of Mount Luigi of Savoy. This point is blanketed by snow and covered by everlasting flowers, giant lobelia, tussock grass and giant groundsel as well as views of 9 stunning Lakes down the Valley. Also look-out for views of Lake Nusuranja and many others.

Hike To Weismann’s Peak at 4620 meters and descend back down to transfer to queen
Breakfast and continue hiking to Weismann Peak at 4620meters. This Climb begins by walking across the hillside below the high cliffs above Lake Bugata. Proceed around the Ridge to the spectacular Lake Kopello where you will hike along the shores of the Lake with jaw-dropping views of the four glacier lakes along the valley below.
On a clear day you will be treated to the awe-inspiring views of the main peaks of Rwenzori Mountains-Mount. Baker, Mount Stanley and Mount Speke. Visit the Stella Peak before descending down to trekkers hostel and transfer to queen.

Morning game drive and crater lakes
Begin the day with a game drive in the morning along Kasenyi and Queen's Mile to see elephants, mongoose, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, lions, spotted hyenas, waterbucks, and warthogs, plus various bird species. This drive will take you up to Lake George where after you return for lunch at your lodge. After lunch, you will explore the crater lakes region and later dine and slumber at your lodge.

Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha
After an early morning breakfast, You will set out with a packed lunch and drive to Bwindi through the Ishasha area of the park looking for the tree-climbing lions which can only be seen in this part of Uganda. Fortunately, the terrain is open savannah scattered with acacia and fig trees. You will enjoy your picnic lunch and later continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will dine and slumber.

Gorilla Tracking
After breakfast, you will head out for gorilla trekking. Gorilla trekking is a captivating and unforgettable experience that more than repays the effort needed to reach Bwindi and trek through the forest. Gorilla trekking can last from a few hours to the whole day, depending on where the gorillas were the previous day. In the afternoon, take a village walk where you have an opportunity to visit a Pygmy community. Alternatively, take a nature walk in the forest (optional) and visit the amazing Muyaga Waterfalls set in the middle of this tropical rainforest to view birds and primates along the forest edge.

Explore Lake Bunyonyi
Following your breakfast, drive to Kabale through the beautiful terraced, verdant hills. This place is also known as the “Switzerland of Africa” because of its cold weather. You will stop for lunch as you enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Bunyonyi. After lunch, you will take a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi, one of the deepest lakes in Africa, to the numerous islands to sightsee as well as view the various bird species. Dine and sleep at your lodge.

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and game drive
In the morning, you will head to Lake Mburo National Park which is the smallest of Uganda’s national parks. Here you will have a game drive to see eland, topi, impala, oribi, zebra, and Cape buffalos, as well as a boat ride on the lake. This park is a very stunning birding paradise with 250 bird species such as Carruthers's cisticolas, papyrus gonoleks, and brown-faced lapwings. After lunch, you will have a boat cruise and head over to the lodge for dinner.

Transfer to Entebbe Airport
Wake up to an early breakfast and transfer to Kampala, a stopover at the equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos.. You will later be transferred to the airport for your departure. This will mark the end of your, 15 day Tailor Made Big Five Safari and Hiking Mt Rwenzori in Uganda the "Pearl of Africa".
