Day 1

After being picked up from the hotel, you will depart at 4:30 am from Dar es Salaam via Morogoro and Chalinze and proceed to Mikumi. On arrival, we will continue with a game drive and then take a time for enjoying a hot lunch. During proceeding with game you will come across lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, elephant, wild dog and many species of birds. Arrive at your accommodation, Mikumi Park Cottages, located inside the park, which gives you an extra game viewing experience.

Day 2

Sunrise game drive and Sanje Waterfalls

Sunrise game drive and Sanje Waterfalls

Go on with a pre-breakfast game drive in the park. Morning game drives are the best as you might spot some predators with their preys. Return for breakfast at 09:00 am, then head for the Sanje Waterfalls at Udzungwa. This is the highest waterfall in Tanzania. You can swim in the natural pool (remember your swimwear).
Our guide/rangers will accompany you on the hiking tour. Udzungwa Mountains National Park is well known for its excellent hiking, trekking, mountain climbing and forest walks. The most popular hiking tour is up to the Sanje Waterfalls, looking for monkeys, swimming in plunge pools and enjoying the spectacular view while enjoying a picnic lunch. After your hiking tour, you will descend the mountains and return to your accommodation at Camp Bastian in Mikumi.

Early in the morning you will visit Maasai village near Mikumi National Park where you will be able to learn about their lifestyle, enjoy dances, and even buy some Maasai gifts for your family. Then we drive back to Bastian Camp for breakfast where you will pack your stuff for the trip back to Dar es Salaam.
