Transfer from Entebbe to Kibale the Chimp Capital
Set off early in the morning for your drive to the Uganda's southwestern Highlands. The journey takes you through farmland, rolling hills and plains. Then through forests, villages and tea plantations to your safari lodge near the rainforest of Kibale. In the afternoon take a nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland which is a sanctuary for colorful birds, and monkeys. The wetland sanctuary found next to the national park is a preview of what to expect when you go trekking in the park.

Track chimpanzees in Kibale
Kibale National Park is most famous for the high concentration of chimpanzees. Your expert guide will share the secrets of the chimps, forest dwellers, and the sights and sounds that make Kibale one of the loveliest and most varied parks in Uganda. Also look out for other primates such as L’Hoest’s, red colobus, red-tailed and blue monkeys.
After lunch drive farther south crossing the equator into the southern hemisphere and to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon you will take a water safari on the Kazinga Channel and get close to the wildlife and birds along the waterway. The Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway, connects Lake George and Lake Edward. It attracts large populations of hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds. Boat cruises along the channel offer visitors a chance to witness wildlife up close and enjoy the picturesque landscapes.

Seek out the Big 4 of Queen Elizabeth National Park
Game drives start out early before sunrise so you are there just as the wildlife begins the new day. Look out for some of Africa's Big 5 like the elephants, buffalo, lions and leopards. The hunters and hunted are all out so it is great time for photography or simply enjoy the wildlife. Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in southwestern Uganda, is one of the country's premier wildlife destinations. The park is situated in the Western Rift Valley and encompasses diverse landscapes, including savannah, forests, wetlands, and crater lakes. It is renowned for its diverse wildlife, the park is home to a wide array of species, including elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, and various antelope species. The Ishasha sector of the park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, a unique behavior not commonly observed in other lion populations.

Precious moments with the mountain gorillas
This is the day that only one who has experienced it can describe. Today you get intimate and close with a family of the endangered mountain gorillas of Uganda. The tracking begins with a briefing on do's and don'ts by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers - the custodians of this ancient home. Your visit will allow you to meet gorilla mothers, and baby gorillas play and move around as the family feeds.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site home to gorillas, over 350 bird species, and ancient plants. Bwindi is renowned for its dense and pristine tropical rainforest, which is home to one of the most endangered species on Earth—the mountain gorillas.
After one hour with the gorilla family, you leave the jungle. Spend the afternoon on a community tour to meet the locals as they go about their lives.

Transfer to Entebbe
Set out early in the morning for the transfer to Entebbe. This is a long drive but scenic as you move from the highlands to the plains of western Uganda. You will make a stopover at the equator as you cross over from the southern to the northern hemisphere. You arrive in Entebbe late afternoon.
