Day 1

Dar e Salaam - Selous Game Reserve

You will be picked up from Dar es Salaam in the early morning and begin your journey to Selous Game Reserve. You will arrive at Siwandu or Mbuyu Airstrip and have a game drive on arrival. This journey will include your first game drive. Your driver will also have a picnic lunch for you to enjoy along the way. Later in the evening, you will arrive at Roho ya Selous Camp for dinner and your overnight stay. Otherwise, the crew from Roho ya Selous can organise something not in the lodge due to the availability and location of the animals at the present time you arrive. They may decide to take you first for a hot lunch or otherwise. All in all, it makes you feel and enjoy the park and experience nature.

Day 2

Selous Game Reserve

You will rise up early and depart on a boat safari where you will view hippos and crocodiles. There is also a wide variety of birdlife that gather along the shores of the lake. After your boat safari, you will return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out and begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam.

You will enjoy your final game drive, with the chance to view more wildlife as you head back to the airstrip for your flight back to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped off at your specified location. This is where your safari will end. Set on a small peninsula overlooking the water, Roho ya Selous sits in the very heart of the Selous Game Reserve. Explore this vast wilderness, home to one of Africa’s largest populations of wild dogs, with our expert safari guides.
