Golf at Sigona Golf Club
Situated in along the Nairobi River in beautiful Kenya, the capital of Nairobi is East Africa's most cosmopolitan city. Although it has developed a reputation that keeps tourist visits brief, there are some fascinating attractions: its cafe culture, unbridled nightlife, the National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum, and most notably, just 20 minutes from the city center, wild lions and buffalo roam in the world's only urban game reserve. After breakfast, transfer to the golf course. Play 18 holes at Sigona Golf Club (Includes Green Fee and Caddy). Sigona Golf Club was established in 1938 and continues to be a popular draw for both local golfers and foreign visitors. Its location at an altitude of 6,600 ft and proximity to the Great Rift Valley ensures copious rains that make the greens and fairways the most talked about of all Kenyan courses. If you're lucky, you could be teeing off with an antelope or beisa oryx looking on! Spend the afternoon and evening at leisure.
Golf at Muthaiga Golf Club
After another leisurely breakfast, transfer for your next round of golf. Play 18 holes at Muthaiga Golf Club (Includes Green Fee and Caddy). The Peter Matkovich-designed Muthaiga Golf Club is a private, 18-hole layout bordered by the Karura Forest, roughly 15 km from the center of Nairobi. It has been voted one of Southern Africa’s top golf courses by SA Golf Digest and has been the home of the Kenya Open Golf Championship (part of European PGA) until 2004. This is a walking-only course; however, caddies are available. Spend the afternoon and evening at leisure.
Golf at Karen Country Club
After breakfast, meet your driver for transfer to your next round of golf. Play 18 holes at Karen Country Club Golf Course (Includes Green Fee and Caddy). Karen Country Club has some unique features that distinguish it from other golfing clubs in Kenya:- flowering shrubs, lakes and wetlands, outstanding indigenous trees, and many fine sporting amenities. Founded in 1937, Karen Country Club, Nairobi prides itself on being one of the oldest golf clubs in Kenya. With the Ngong Hills as a backdrop, the course is much admired. Spend the evening at leisure on your own, perhaps exploring the myriad sights and sounds.
Transfer to Mara North Conservancy
After breakfast and checkout, meet your driver, who will transfer you to the airport. Fly from Nairobi
to the Keekorok Airstrip in Masai Mara. On arrival, you'll be transferred to the camp. Check in to the Elewana Elephant Pepper Camp for 3 nights. Situated in southwest Kenya, the Mara North Conservancy is a beautiful private wilderness area spanning more than 30 000 hectares. It is home to an array of plants, reptiles, birds, and mammals, including elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and other migratory wildlife. Leopard Gorge, in the heart of the conservancy, is famous as the setting of BBC Big Cat Diaries and National Geographic documentaries. This conservancy is vital for sustaining the famous Serengeti wildebeest migration and the highly threatened African wild dog and black rhino in the neighboring well-known Maasai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy an afternoon game drive with a great sundowner, followed by a sumptuous dinner at the lodge.
Safari Activities at Masai Mara
Wake up early with coffee and rusks for a morning game drive or a bush walk with expert rangers. You will visit the Mara North Conservancy and the adjoining Masai Mara National Reserve and can do either morning, evening, or all-day game drives. Viewing the main migration river crossings requires a full day out as they are located someway from camp. Inquire about a Hot Air Balloon Safari over the Masai Mara for a once-in-a-lifetime Safari Experience! (at your own cost). Take the time to leave the car behind and enjoy the small things – animal tracks, flowers, and micro-ecosystems. All the guides are Bronze or Silver level Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association certified and enjoyed sharing their knowledge. You may also choose optional activities such as Out of Africa picnics, Life of a Hunter/Gatherer Walks, Seedball Dispersal, Traditional Canvas Baths, Masai Warrior School, Bush Spa Treatments, etc. at an additional price during your stay.
