Cape Town’s Beaches, Mountains & Winelands
There’s so much to see and do in Cape Town, and The Table Bay Hotel is ideally located to get the best out of this beautiful city. Staying at the V&A Waterfront puts you a short walk from world-class restaurants, markets, shops, the Two Oceans Aquarium and the ferry to Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned).
The Table Bay breakfasts are famously good, as are the harbour and mountain views. Catch the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, laze on white sand beaches, and drive the peninsula down to Cape Point and the penguins at Boulders Beach.
The Cape Winelands are also a must and deserve a full day taking in the mountain-and-vineyard scenery, grand wine estates and award-winning restaurants.

Unique Boutique Hotel on the Garden Route
One of the prettiest towns on South Africa’s Garden Route, Knysna sits on the bank of a peaceful lagoon. Explore the surrounding forests, take the short ferry-ride to Featherbed Nature Reserve, and have champagne and oysters at the Knysna Waterfront.
Nearby Plettenberg Bay has gorgeous beaches, and an ocean safari gives you the chance to see dolphins, seals and (in season) whales.
Your accommodation in Knysna is The Turbine, a unique 5-star hotel housed in the old power station on Thesen Island. Surrounded on three sides by water, The Turbine is a quirky yet luxurious hotel with its own water club: hire a kayak and paddle the canals or opt for a sunset cruise. For a bit of pampering, the hotel’s Amani Spa is well worth a visit.
