Zanzibar to Selous Game Reserve - Sunset Boat Safari

You will start your safari from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam Airport where you have to arrive 60 minutes before your departure time at 07h35.

On arrival at Mtemere Airstrip in Selous Game Reserve at 08h20, you will be met by the driver guide who will transfer you to the camp or lodge for check-in.

At around 16h00, you depart for an adventurous and romantic sunset boat safari along the great Rufiji River to spot hippos, crocodiles, and birds. Enjoy the spectacular sundown.

Full-day Game Viewing in the Vast Selous Game Reserve

After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the Selous Game Reserve, exploring the game in the surrounding areas. Animals including elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalos, zebras, and even the rare African wild dogs, are common. Before the end of the day, you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Walking Safari - Departure to Zanzibar

The early morning walking safari usually starts between 06h00 and 06h30, after tea or coffee. You will be accompanied by an armed ranger and it will take around 2 hours. A walking safari is a fantastic way to experience more about the Selous bushveld.

After enjoying your breakfast, check-out is followed by a transfer to the Mtemere Airstrip for the departure on a scheduled flight at 09h30 to Zanzibar.
