Day 1
Arrival & Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River
Arrival & Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River
On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg), you’ll be met by our representative and assisted with check-in for your Victoria Falls flight. Arriving in Victoria Falls, you’ll be met and driven to Ilala Lodge. Just a few minutes walk from Victoria Falls. This lovely lodge overlooks the Zambezi River and has families of warthogs grazing their neatly cropped lawns.
End your first day in Africa with a sunset cruise. This upper stretch of the Zambezi (above the falls) lies within a national park so expect to see pods of hippos, huge crocodiles, and elephants gathered at the water’s edge. Drinks and snacks are provided as you relax in comfortable chairs out on the deck, toasting the orange-red sunset.

Get Drenched by the Spray of Victoria Falls
Get Drenched by the Spray of Victoria Falls
After breakfast, set off on a guided tour of Victoria Falls. Around two-thirds of the falls (including the Mains Falls) lie on the Zimbabwe side, so look forward to views of rainbow-lit mist and thundering sheets of falling water. Your guide will explain how the falls were formed, and chat about the local customs and traditions that surround them.
In the afternoon, you’re free to pick from the many optional activities available. We’d highly recommend the spectacular “Flight of Angels” helicopter flip. Other popular things to do include horse riding in the national park, shopping for African crafts at the local market, or sitting down to an elegant high tea on the shaded patio of the Victoria Falls Hotel.

Day 3-4
Game Drive & River Cruises in Chobe
Game Drive & River Cruises in Chobe
The next morning, you’re driven across the border into Botswana, and on to Chobe Game Lodge—the only permanent lodge set within Chobe National Park. This larger property still has plenty of quiet corners including a fantastic boardwalk along the river with tucked-away seating that’s perfect for watching wildlife come and go at the water’s edge.
The lodge’s prime position allows game drives to start before the park gates open and other visitors arrive. Chobe Game Lodge offers three safari activities daily so you can experience both game drives (the best way to seek out the park’s predators) and river cruises. There’s nothing like drifting up close to Chobe’s famously large herds of elephants or seeing them swim across the river—their trunks held up like snorkels!

This comfortable camp is sheltered under giant ebony trees on the bank of the Xakanaxa Lagoon, in Moremi Game Reserve. Sleep under canvas in one of 12 comfortable tents, each with an en-suite bathroom and a lovely private deck with a view.
Camp Moremi’s experienced guides lead morning and afternoon game drives. Keep an eye out for leopards in the branches of the Mopane trees and lions camouflaged in the tall grasses. Motorboat safaris on the lily-fringed lagoon and surrounding channels are an excellent way to see the incredible birdlife from fish eagles to colourful malachite kingfishers, and even the rare Pel’s fishing owls.

Mokoro & Walking Safaris in the Okavango
Following breakfast, you’re driven to the airstrip for your flight to Camp Okavango. This peaceful tented camp lies on a remote island deep in the Okavango Delta. The largest inland delta in the world, the Okavango, is an undisturbed wilderness best explored in the quiet, old-fashioned way in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe).
Experienced guides expertly navigate the meandering waterways; enjoying the silence as you glide past beautiful water lilies and brightly patterned frogs. Motorboats take you out onto deeper channels to see hippos and crocs while guided bush walks on nearby islands track land-based big game such as elephant, Cape buffalo, lechwe antelope and lion. The birding is outstanding and anglers can cast for bream and tiger fish.
