Day 1-4

On arrival at Mfuwe Airport, Zambia, you will be met and transferred to Tafika Camp, situated on the banks of the Luangwa River in South Luangwa National Park. Tafika, an intimate camp located on the east bank of the Luangwa River, offers the visitor exceptional and exclusive game viewing because of its remote location.

The Nsefu sector of the South Luangwa National Park, in which the park is located, is known as The Valley of the Leopard because of the high number of leopards found here. Not only is there a good chance of seeing leopards during your stay but you’ll also have the opportunity to see servals, crowned cranes, lions, wild dogs, elephants, giraffes, puku, hippos, and crocodiles.

Over the next few days, you will have the opportunity to partake in a range of activities including game drives, walking and cycling safaris, as well as cultural visits to the nearby Mkasanga Village.

Day 5-7

Mwaleshi Camp, North Luangwa National Park

Mwaleshi Camp, North Luangwa National Park

The remarkable Mwaleshi Camp, located in the vast wilderness of North Luangwa National Park is situated on a bend of the Mwaleshi River, within the rhino sanctuary. With their environmental footprint in mind, the four thatched chalets are rebuilt every year from natural materials and offer uninterrupted views of the Mwaleshi River.

After breakfast, you will board a light aircraft for the 30-minute flight to Mwaleshi airstrip where the vast wilderness of North Luangwa National Park awaits. The remote Mwaleshi Camp is situated on the banks of the Mwaleshi River, within the rhino sanctuary. There’s a good chance that you’ll see the Big Five as well as the wild dog, on foot during your morning and afternoon walking safaris. You can even enjoy a dip in the refreshing waters of the Mwaleshi River.
