Johannesburg to Pilanesberg National Park

You will depart from your hotel in Johannesburg or Pretoria at around 10:00 am for your shuttle to Pilanesberg National Park. On arrival at the lodge, you will be checked into your room.

After unpacking, you can enjoy a light lunch and relax before it’s time to depart for your first-afternoon safari game drive in the reserve. Game drives are in an open safari vehicle with a professional ranger.

Return as the sun is setting and enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge. After dinner, you can enjoy a nightcap while listening to the night sounds of the African Bushveld.

Safari Drives in Pilanesberg National Park

Today will see you have an early morning wake-up call and enjoy a hot beverage before setting off for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve in an open safari vehicle. Accompanied by a skilled ranger, you can expect to encounter a diverse range of animal and bird species.

After an exhilarating drive, you'll return to the lodge for a scrumptious breakfast, and the rest of the day is spent at your own leisure. With so many activities on offer at an additional cost, you can join a guided bush walk, Predator’s World, or visit the reserve’s wildlife centre.

Lunch will be enjoyed around 1:00 pm. In the late afternoon, you'll depart for your final sunset safari drive. Return to the lodge where a traditional South African dinner will be enjoyed in the boma that evening ( weather dependent ). After dinner, enjoy the sight and warmth of a blazing fire while discussing the day's adventures.

Departure Back to Johannesburg

Today your safari trip comes to an end, however, there is still a one-morning safari drive planned. Arriving back at the lodge after the safari, you will enjoy a hearty breakfast before needing to pack and check out from the lodge.

Your shuttle will be waiting to transfer you at around 11:00 am back to your hotel or the airport in Johannesburg. On arrival in Johannesburg, your tour with us ends.
