The trip begins with an early morning pursuit of the Schalow’s turaco, which is the star bird of the region. We head straight to a site just above the Victoria Falls cascades, where we will stop for a short walk to the edge of the Zambezi River. Here, you will be greeted by the refreshing spray of the Falls as you view the fascinating green and blue turaco and marvel at the beauty of a stunning African sunrise. As the day progresses, we make our way towards Zambezi National Park, where a tasty “Guide’s Breakfast” will be served along the banks of the Zambezi River before continuing our journey. After breakfast, we head off to chase the high-flying raptors of the skies for a few hours, before sitting down to a picnic lunch. Once lunch has been served (the melodious Bearded Scrub Robin and White-Browed Scrub Robin normally provide the entertainment at lunch), a slow drive commences leading tour-goers back to their Victoria Falls lodge or hotel.
