Day 1

Nairobi/Samburu Game Reserve

In the morning you will be picked either from the airport or your Nairobi hotel then depart from Nairobi and drive north through agricultural farmlands, crossing the equator where you will have a stopover for a demonstration of how water spins North and South of the equator and then down into the arid, thorny landscape of Samburu country. The Samburu region is known for it's northern species of game seldom found south of the equator, Here you will find the Grevy's zebra, Beisa Oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali Ostrich, long-necked gerenuk, and dainty dik dik, as well as some of the most beautiful bird life in Kenya. You'll also see herds of elephant, plains game and their predators. You will arrive in time for lunch at self contained basic budget camp and late afternoon proceed for game drive. Return to the self contained basic budget camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

You will have a chance to explore the banks of River Uaso Nyiro where you might have a chance of spotting crocodiles. You will also have a chance of seeing elephant, leopard, cheetah among other wild. In addition, Samburu National Reserve is a paradise for bird lovers, with over 350 species of birds which include vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl among others. You will also have an option of visiting Samburu cultural village and optional camel ride at an extra cost. All meals served and overnight at self contained basic budget camp.

Day 3

Samburu/Lake Nakuru National Park

Samburu/Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast you will depart from Samburu for Nyahururu where you will have a stop over at Thomson's fall where you will have a chance to admire the scenic views of the fall and a walk to explore the surrounding area before you proceed to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch at either WCK guest house or budget hotel. Later you will proceed for game drive where you will have a chance to see Rhino, waterbuck, buffalo not forgetting a chance to explore the shores of Lake Nakuru and with luck you might see flamingos among other birds. You will return to either WCK guest house or budget hotel to wait for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru/Lake Naivasha & Hell's gate Park

Lake Nakuru/Lake Naivasha & Hell's gate Park

After breakfast you will depart from Nakuru for Lake Naivasha and continue with your safari to Hell's gate National Park where you will have a chance to explore the park either on foot or by cycling among giraffe, Zebra, gazelle before you proceed for a guided walk through the gorge. Lunch will be served at either self contained basic budget camp or guest house then you will proceed for an hour's boat ride with chances of seeing hippo and different species of birds. You will later return to either self contained basic budget camp or guest house to wait for dinner followed by overnight.

Day 5

After breakfast you will depart for the renowned Maasai Mara game reserve which is Kenya's premier game reserve. The Mara is actually the northern portion of the great plain’s ecosystem in neighboring Tanzania called the Serengeti. It is the home of the "big five" - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant, as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe and vast herds of plains antelope and numerous other wildlife. You will arrive in time for lunch at self contained basic budget camp. Late afternoon proceed for game drive to explore the plains of Maasai Mara before you return to self contained basic budget camp to wait for dinner followed by overnight.

Optional early morning hot air balloon ride. You will spend the whole day exploring the Maasai Mara plains with a visit to the mara river where you will have a chance of seeing hippo and crocodile not forgetting a chance to witness the world's most spectacular natural phenomenon of large herds of wildebeest migration if you have a chance of travelling within the Months of July through October. You will arrive in time to be dropped off for your onward journey connections.
