Arrival in Port Elizabeth

Today you will arrive in Port Elizabeth, the Friendly City and officially called Gqeberha. On arrival at Port Elizabeth Airport, you will be met and transferred to your beachfront hotel where you stay on a bed-and-breakfast basis for two nights. Spend the evening relaxing on the verandah of your hotel or taking a stroll along the beachfront.

Full-Day Marine Tour

The full-day cruise is an action-packed adventure into the greatest marine wilderness in Africa!
You'll be transferred to the harbour in time to meet at 7:00 am and depart at about 7:30 am from the PE Deep Sea Angling Club in the Port Elizabeth Harbour and return at around 5:00 pm. A light lunch and spring water on tap are provided during the cruise. On the cruise, guests have the possibility of spotting bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins, humpback dolphins, Southern right whales, humpback whales, Bryde’s whales, Minke whales, Cape fur seals, various species of
sharks (including great white sharks), African black oystercatchers, Cape cormorants, white-breasted cormorants and various species of pelagic birds including terns, petrels, skuas, shearwaters and albatrosses. Sightings are not guaranteed but the experienced Raggy Charters skipper and guides always do their best to find all these amazing marine animals for you to enjoy. You'll be transferred back to your hotel on your return.

Half-Day Marine Tour & Lalibela Game Reserve

This morning, you will have an early breakfast and check out of your room. You'll again be transferred from your hotel to the harbour for your half-day at-sea excursion in Algoa Bay. The half-day whale/dolphin/penguin island cruise takes between 3 and 4 hours, leaving PE Deep Sea Angling Club at about 8:00 am in the morning and returning by noon. You'll go to 2 islands in Algoa Bay – St Croix Island and Brenton Island. The islands are home to about 5,000 African penguins, the largest breeding colony found in Africa and you will get a close-up encounter with these comical birds.

After your morning activity, you will be taken to pick up your luggage at your hotel and then transferred by road to Lalibela Game Reserve where you'll enjoy a 3-night safari. Upon arrival at Lalibela Game Reserve, you will be welcomed at your lodge and enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge for a sumptuous dinner.

Lalibela Game Reserve

Enjoy early morning and sunset game drives in an open vehicle with an experienced game ranger who brings you face to face with a multitude of game species, ranging from the mighty elephant, lion, rhino and buffalo to tiny blue duiker and rock hyrax. Lalibela is also home to cheetah, hyena, hippo, giraffe, zebra, warthog and numerous species of antelope. On thrilling night drives under the vast African sky, we'll search for the elusive bat-eared fox, aardvark, black-backed jackal, aardwolf and curious spring hare.
For a three-night stay, you will enjoy a total of 6 game drives (including 1 on your day of arrival and one on the morning of your departure). Between game drives, there is time to relax around the sunny pool, do some bird-watching from the observation deck or read a book in the peace of your room’s private veranda.

Departure

After your final morning game drive and brunch, you'll bid farewell to this African Wonderland. You are transferred back to the reception where you will meet up with your driver and you are transferred back to Port Elizabeth Airport.
