Drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

You'll be picked up from your hotel to join the group. Depart from the capital of Kenya, Nairobi, and drive down the escarpment via the scenic Great Rift Valley floor to Masai Mara for check-in and lunch at the lodge. Then take our first thrilling game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of East Africa's top safari destinations. Returning from our first safari experience into Masai Mara, we'll have dinner and relax under the African stars, falling asleep to the sounds of the savannah bush at the lodge.

Guided Game Drives in Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, head out for a full day of game drives, searching for Africa's Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. The Mara offers fantastic orange-tinged sunsets well worth capturing on camera. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara, you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests, wildebeests, elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but reasonably common. The ultimate action here is the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration, in July through October when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of greener grass. Return for dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.

Drive Back to Nairobi - End of The Tour

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge followed by check out. You might want to optionally visit a local Maasai Village for a cultural tour at an extra cost. Drive back to Nairobi, arriving at approximately 3:00 pm. You'll be dropped off at your hotel.
