On the first day of your Kruger adventure you can either collect your 4x4 Suzuki Jimny fully equipped for camping, from Johannesburg or fly in to the town of Hoedspruit, for a shorter drive to the park.
As you enter the park, you’ll have the freedom to explore at your own pace. Giving you the opportunity to spot a wide variety of wildlife, including the famous Big 5 and other species including giraffe, zebra, various antelope, hippo and more.
When it's time to rest for the night, set up camp at one of the park's designated campsites. Your 4x4 comes equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay, incl a fridge / freezer, tent, camping chairs, table, and cooking equipment. Giving you the freedom to be able to truly immerse yourself in the wilderness and make the most of your time in Kruger.
Campsites are situated in the Kruger Park main camps, which are fenced in from animals, with clean ablution facilities, camp shop and swimming pool. Each campsite has electricity and a BBQ.

Day 2-5

Experience the magic of the African bush as you wake up to the sound of birds and the sun rising above the horizon. With our self-drive safari package, you can explore the wonders of the park on your own terms.
Take off on a game drive whenever you please, keeping your eyes peeled for the iconic animals that roam the African plains. The landscape of the park is constantly changing and every gaze reveals a new vista.
With the freedom of your own vehicle, you have the chance to customise your safari to your liking. Some choose to set out in the morning and return to camp for brunch and some downtime before embarking on another game drive in the afternoon. Others prefer to spend the whole day exploring the park, stopping at picnic sites and other camps for breaks and meals, before returning to the campsite just before the gates close.
Camping in Kruger is a special experience as the thin tent walls bring you up close and personal with the nocturnal sounds of the African wild.

As your self-drive 4x4 safari adventure comes to a close, you'll pack up camp and set off on your final game drive towards the nearest Kruger Park exit gate. With a wealth of memories from your unforgettable journey, you'll cherish every last moment in the park before making your way to Johannesburg via a 5-6 hour road trip, or catching a flight out of Hoedspruit, which is just a short drive from Kruger National Park.
This is a self drive, self catering and self setup and breakdown package, guests have the option of providing their own meals, or we can prepare preplanned meal packs for you, to be collected before entering the Kruger Park.
