Full-Day Zanzibar - Selous Game Viewing

In the morning, you will be picked up from the airport Jahazi Restaurant at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport and start your safari. You will be flying in a light aircraft to Selous, one of Africa’s most significant game reserves. On arrival at Mtemere Airstrip in Selous, you will be met by your driver/guide who will greet you and brief you about your tour plan.

Game drives are the best way to explore giant games including predators. In addition, Selous is home to the largest population of wild dogs in Africa, which are a real highlight if you are lucky enough to encounter a pack.

You will start the game drives with picnic lunches until late in the evening. Then, you will return to the camp and relax at the bonfire. Your dinner and an overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Sunrise Boat Safari – Departure to Zanzibar

You will wake up for an early morning breakfast followed by a departure for a sunrise boat safari along the great Rufiji River. The boat safari is a superb way to explore and watch the wildlife come to the water’s edge to drink, getting close to bird colonies, hippos and crocodiles.

After one hour and thirty minutes, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar for drop-off at the Abeid Amani Karume International Airport.
