Day 1

Today is your arrival day. You will have a meet and greet with our driver guides at the Vic-Falls Airport and then transfer to Pamusha Lodge or a similar lodge. Soon after check in, go for a relaxing boat cruise with a stunning sunset view on the Mighty Zambezi River. We will finish the day with a dinner at the hotel.

Day 2

Victoria Falls Guided Tours of the Rainforest

Victoria Falls Guided Tours of the Rainforest

After breakfast we visit the spectacular Victoria Falls Rainforest for a guided tour. The entrance fee is included in your package and we allow approximately 2 hours here so you can visit all the view-points and photo opportunities. After that, we travel to Kasane Town. Upon arrival at Thebe River Lodge, we set up camp on the banks of the Chobe River. If you are lodging elsewhere, then we will transfer you to Chobe Safari Lodge for your check-in or to similar lodges/campsites. The afternoon is spent on an optional game viewing followed by a scenic boat cruise in Chobe National Park. Optional Activities: Chobe NP game drive.

Day 3

Chobe National Park to Maun (Okavango Delta)

Chobe National Park to Maun (Okavango Delta)

An early morning game drive is perfect for today as you look for the cats in the Chobe National Park. After the game drive, we will have breakfast and then start our journey to Maun, checking in at Sedia Hotel or pitching your tents at the campsite. We will spend the night here and prepare for our 2-night bush-camping experience. Your guides will provide you with a briefing about the next few days’ activities and the community run tourism operation. Optional activities: scenic tours over Okavango Delta.

Day 4

After breakfast, we board our local 4x4 truck transport for the 2 hour trip into the Okavango Delta. There we will meet with our local guides and polers for our Mokoro (traditional canoe) trip to our remote mobile bush camp. Please note our toilets are natural here. In the afternoon, there is a nature walk with a local guide which gives a great chance to view wildlife on foot. Tonight is spent swapping stories around the camp fire and enjoying the serenity of the Delta.

Day 5

Okavango Delta

Okavango Delta

There is normally an early morning nature walk with your local guides, splitting up into small groups so there is a better chance of seeing the wildlife. This is followed by breakfast and a relaxed day around the camp site. Often there is the chance to swim in the clear water. Test your skills as a Mokoro poler, it’s not as easy as the locals make it look. In the afternoon, we take another nature walk or perhaps a Mokoro trip along the river.

Day 6

Okavango Delta to Maun

Okavango Delta to Maun

Another early morning walks before breakfast and then it’s time to board our Mokoro canoe for the trip back to the truck (depending on the water levels). Then we say goodbye to our local guides and journey back to the Maun campsite for lunch and a relaxing afternoon. Do not be alarmed if we are joined at camp by a local dairy cow later in the evening as they sometimes roam through the back of the camp.

Day 7

Maun to Ghanzi

Maun to Ghanzi

An early start and we drive to Ghanzi check in at Trail Blazer Bushman Huts or a campsite. Once at camp, we will meet with a local bushmen community and experience some traditional tribal dancing. There are also some traditional bushman huts that you have the opportunity to stay in for a nominal fee. Optional activity: Guided Gathering/Village, trance dance (must be booked in advance min 6 x participants), game drives (min 6 x clients).

Day 8

Ghanzi to Windhoek

Today is a long driving day to the Namibian border and on to Windhoek in the center of Namibia, arriving in the evening. Tonight there is an optional dinner out in town at Joe’s Beer House, definitely a feast for all the senses. Optional activities: dinner out at a local restaurant. Check in at Klein Windhoek Lodge or a nearby campsite.

Day 9-10

Windhoek to Etosha National Park

Windhoek to Etosha National Park

Leaving the city sights behind, we travel north into Namibia’s barren northern area. We enter Etosha National Park and go for a game drive through to the Okaukejo Lodge or a resident campsite. On the 10th day, we will enjoy more a breathtaking game viewing and a night at the Halali Lodge or campsites. Etosha National Park is the venue for some of the most unique game viewing experiences in Africa. We will go on various game drives, and spend our evenings at the water holes for some excellent game photography.

Himba and Herero Tribes

Leaving Etosha, we drive towards Kamanjab and check in at Cheetah Farm Campsite. The Himba tribes are a pastoral people and predominantly breed cattle or goats. They are easily recognizable by their unique style of dress. Today, you will have the chance to visit the Himba Camp and see how these interesting people live.

From culture to creation, we travel to the mysterious Spitzkoppe, known as Namibia’s Matterhorn. We will set up our mobile bush camp on a huge rocky outcrop in the wild. Kindly note the toilets are also natural here, beneath the mountain. This afternoon, there is an included walk to explore the unique rock formations. For the more adventurous traveler, you may want to venture up the mountain behind camp before dinner for some stunning views of the landscape.

Today we travel to Namibia’s Atlantic coast and Swakopmund, Namibia’s adventure capital. We will check in at Alter Brook Lodge and Campsite for 2 nights. You will be briefed on the optional activities available here. At night, there is an optional dinner at a local restaurant where you can try different types of local dishes. Optional activities: Quad biking, sand boarding, sky diving, dolphin cruise, scenic flights, fishing, dinner etc.

After the adventure and adrenaline rush of Swakopmund, we drive south into the mysterious Namib Desert. We arrive at Sesriem campsite in the afternoon which is situated inside the park for convenience and go on a short hike at Sesriem Canyon. Tonight we enjoy dinner around the campfire, do a little star gazing, and listen to the calls of the Jackals and barking geckos.

Today is our earliest start as we wake before dawn for one of the highlights of the trip, hiking up Dune 45 to watch the sunrise. After breakfast, we join a local expert on a guided tour explaining the desert ecosystem and how the bush men survived in the harsh desert conditions.

We leave early on our last day in Namibia traveling south to the border with South Africa at the Gariep/Orange River. Check in at Fiddlers Creek Campsite on the banks of the Orange River on the South African side. In the afternoon, there is an optional canoeing activity on the river, or you can just relax at the campsite and go for a swim. Optional activities: Gariep/Orange River canoeing.

Today is a long drive through the Northern Cape to the fruit producing area in the Cederburg mountains of South Africa. Check in at Highlanders Campsite, after setting up camp, we go on a guided walk (weather permitting) to see Bushmen paintings and learn about the native fauna, flora, and interesting creatures that inhabit the area.

Our final day on tour, we head to the mother city, Cape Town. Traveling along the coast road, we stop at Table View for a magnificent view of Table Mountain from the other side of the bay. This is the spot from which the most photographs are taken of Table Mountain and this will be the end of your tour. Please note that clients are dropped off at their own optional places of accommodation. We can always organize your transfers to the airport at an edition fare.
