Our safari guide will meet and greet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and then transfer you to your lodge for your overnight stay. If time permits, you can experience a town tour with your safari guide. You'll also have the option to relax at the lodge.

Day 2

Arusha - Lake Manyara

Arusha - Lake Manyara

After breakfast, you will meet the guide who will be with you for the duration of your safari. He or she will drive you to Lake Manyara National Park, which is located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment on the edge of the Rift Valley.

The alkaline soda of Lake Manyara, which covers 230sq km, attracts pink flamingos and other birdlife. You’ll also see resident hippo pods here. The park is known for its tree-climbing lions. You can also expect to see large herds of elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, and impalas. There’s also a huge primate population, including common monkeys, vervet monkeys and baboons. If you’re lucky you’ll spot leopards and hyenas as well.

You’ll leave Lake Manyara just before sunset and head to your lodge in the nearby town of Karatu.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater

Your full day will be spent at the Ngorongoro Crater. This unique natural phenomenon has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking wildlife safari sites in the world. It offers incredible wildlife viewing opportunities against the backdrop of a 600m/1968ft high crater wall.

A visit to the Ngorongoro Crater is an experience of a lifetime! You can expect to see an abundance of wildlife including buffalo, warthog, wildebeest, zebra, hippo, and elephant. There’s also a huge population of predators such as lion, hyena, jackal, cheetah, and leopard. The resident black rhino population here is also a real treat, as they’re very difficult to spot elsewhere in Tanzania.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti

After breakfast you will be transferred to the local airstrip and board your light aircraft for an exciting flight over the reserves. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the camp in time for lunch.

The Central Serengeti boasts spectacular “endless plains” dotted with acacia trees and the occasional rocky kopjes. The wide-open spaces are what make the Central Serengeti so special. You’ll drive through miles and miles of riverine forest and animals as far as the eye can see. You have a nice chance of seeing leopards along the river valleys as well as wildebeest. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 5-6

You’ll spend two days exploring the Serengeti. Each morning will begin with a sunrise game drive, as the animals are most active when the temperatures are still cool. Hopefully you will see big cats returning from a night of hunting. You will then drive back to the lodge for a breakfast and some relaxation before going on another game drive. After watching the sunset over the Serengeti you will drive back to your lodge.

After breakfast you will be transferred to the local airstrip and board your light aircraft. An exciting flight over the Serengeti will deliver you safely to Kenya, where you’ll clear customs and immigration before continuing to the Masai Mara. Make your way to the &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp for lunch, seeing wildlife along the way. After a late afternoon game drive, you’ll return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

You will spend two full days exploring the Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. You may also witness the Great Migration that takes place from July to October. An optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$500. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to comprehend. Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here.

You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, many kinds of antelopes, and elephants. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna: lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, and vultures. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp.
