Day 1

Okapuka Game Ranch

Arrive at Hosea Kutako Airport, 50km from Windhoek. Your guide will meet you and drive to Windhoek. Do a short City tour and depart to Okapuka Game Ranch, 30km North of Windhoek. Arrive in time for a game drive which starts at 3:00 pm. Wildlife to be seen include white rhino, giraffe, zebra, oryx, hartebeest, springbok, impala, kudu, ostrich and more. You will be back at the lodge by 5:30 pm.
Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge.

Day 2

Erindi Private Game Reserve

Erindi Private Game Reserve

Depart via Okahandja. Visit the wood carvers markets for handmade articles by indigenous people. Arrive at Erindi for lunch. Check-in, relax and go on an afternoon game drive in open-sided 4x4 vehicles with one of the local guides. Elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, jackals and many species of antelopes are to be seen. Return to the lodge by sunset. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge.
The waterhole in front of the lodge—with a good view from the restaurant area—has hippos and crocodiles. Many elephants and other wildlife species are to be seen here during the evening, coming to drink at the waterhole. Floodlights on the waterhole ensure good pictures of wildlife during the evening.

Day 3

Cheetah Foundation and Conservation Fund Ranch

Cheetah Foundation and Conservation Fund Ranch

Do an early morning game drive at Erindi. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Drive through the ranch past Camp Elephant where you will see more wildlife on the road. Drive via Otjiwarongo, the direction of Waterberg Plateau Park and arrive at the Cheetah Conservation reception by noon. Attend the cheetah feeding next to the reception area for great photos.
Enjoy a light lunch at the restaurant and visit the customer's centre. You will see a video of the activities and history of this project, which Dr Laurie Marker started in the 1990s. Go on open-sided 4x4 vehicles into the ranch to see more cheetahs for good pictures. Depart to Otjiwarongo to arrive before sunset. Check in, relax, have dinner, and stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 4-5

Etosha National Park

Etosha National Park

Depart via Outjo to Etosha. Arrive by noon at Okaukeujo Camp and check in after you have entered the park and visited a few waterholes. Do an afternoon game drive in the park to see elephants, rhinos, lions and many species of other wildlife such as zebra, springbok, giraffe, etc. Back at the lodge, spend time at the waterhole next to the camp. Many animals come to drink during the late afternoon and evening. Floodlights on the waterhole are ideal for good photos during the evening/night.
On day 5, spend the entire day in the park and drive in different directions for wildlife viewing.

Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the resort.

Day 6

Ruacana Waterfalls

Depart via Etosha National Park and leave the park to travel to the Northern Region. Travel via Ondangwa, Ongwediva and Oshakati. 50% of the total population of Namibia lives in this region and a lot of modern infrastructure development took place since the independence of the country in this region. A mixture of modern shopping malls in towns and traditional villages in the more rural areas mark the changes that are taking place here.
Visit the community project at the big baobab trees and drive to Ruacana town. Arrive during the afternoon. Check in, have dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 7

Depart via Ruacana Waterfalls into the Kaokoland. Travel all along the Kunene River. Make several stops to see the Himba people living near the river. Travel via Okonguati to Epupa to arrive by noon. Check-in at this oasis on the banks of the Kunene River, which forms the border with Angola, the neighbouring country to the North. Relax. Do a walking trail to the falls during the afternoon. Go on top of the hill (viewpoint) to see the river and falls from above and enjoy a sundowner for great photos.
See many Himba people near the lodge.

Day 8

Kaokoland Opuwo

Kaokoland Opuwo

Today you will visit one of the Himba Villages in the wild, about 20km from Epupa Waterfalls. Depart after a late breakfast with one of the local guides who can speak their language. Arrive at the village to get permission to enter. You will take some food with you for the villagers.
Experience their culture, the meaning of their clothes and how they use rings around the legs to show how many children they have, as well as the different hairstyles to tell whether they are still children or adults etc. Take as many photos of the people and their huts as you wish. Enjoy lunch at Epupa Lodge or one of the other lodges and depart to Opuwo.
Arrive late in the afternoon to check in, have dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 9-10

Damaraland Twyfelfontein

Damaraland Twyfelfontein

Depart via Koakoland and visit Sesfontein Lodge. Depart to Palmwag Lodge for lunch. You will see some wildlife on your way to Palmwag Lodge in Koakoland. This is a black rhino area and you may see some other wildlife like zebra, springbok, kudu, giraffe, etc. Drive via the Huab Valley with this scenic road through the mountains and arrive at your lodge during the afternoon. Check in, relax, have dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.
On day 10, visit the World Heritage Site, Bushmen rock engravings, Burnt Mountain, Organ Pipe rock formations and the "Damara Living Museum" during the morning.
Have lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon, have a nature/game drive in open sided 4x4 vehicle with one of the lodge guides into the Huab River Valley.
See desert elephants and other wildlife and return by sunset to the lodge.
Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge.

Day 11-12

West Coast: Swakopmund

West Coast: Swakopmund

Depart via Uis (a small town) to the West Coast. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant in Uis and travel to Henties Bay. Visit a shipwreck near Henties Bay. Arrive in Swakopmund late in the afternoon. Check in and visit the City Centre shopping malls.
Have dinner at your hotel or any other good seafood restaurant of your choice. Have your overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 12: Adventure day! You have so many activities to do. Some examples are boat/catamaran cruise in Walvis Bay, quad bike guided tour in the dunes, 4x4 sandwich harbour and dunes excursion, etc.
Your guide will assist you with the bookings and transport to do the activities.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at your hotel.

Day 13-14

Drive via the Namib Desert and make several stops at Dune 7, Kuiseb River Valley and Solitaire. Enjoy lunch in Solitaire and drive to Sossus Dune Lodge inside the Namib Nauklooft Park. Arrive during the afternoon when you'll check in and relax.
Go on a late afternoon drive into the park to the nearest dunes. Climb the dune for a great view of the desert landscape and mountains for great pictures. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge.
Day 14: Visit Sossusvlei, Dead vlei, Big Daddy dune, Dune 45 and surrounding dunes. Climb some dunes and see wildlife in the area such as oryx, springboks, ostriches, jackals, etc. Get back to the lodge for lunch or arrange for lunch packs to enjoy at Sossusvlei under the big Ana trees.
In the afternoon, visit Sesriem Canyon where you'll do a short walking trail into the canyon.
Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge.

Day 15-16

Fish River Canyon

Depart after breakfast via Namib Rand Nature Reserve. Wildlife will be seen next to the main road, especially herds of oryx, springbok and ostriches. Drive via Betta to Helmeringhausen where you will enjoy lunch at the hotel.
Depart via Seeheim to arrive at your lodge late in the afternoon. Check in, relax and do a short afternoon walking trail to a viewpoint for sunset drinks. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge.
Day 16: Visit the Fish River Canyon from different viewpoints. Early morning visits will contribute to very good pictures of the Canyon. You'll then get back at the Hoba entrance gate for a light lunch at the restaurant.
Drive back to the lodge later in the afternoon at leisure. A nice swimming pool in the hot desert area can be the spot to be!

Depart via Keetmanshoop and Mariental to Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge near Kalkrand. This lodge is situated on a private ranch with lots of wildlife and in the Kalahari dunes.
The lodge is only 10km from the main road to Windhoek. Arrive early in the afternoon. Check in and do a game/nature drive into the Kalahari Dunes. Enjoy a sundowner on top of one of the dunes and return to the lodge for dinner.
The waterhole next to the lodge attracts wildlife and flood lights on the waterhole make good pictures during the evening.
