Day 1

Please note: If you arrive before the time we can assist with a lodge and transfer from the airport at additional cost.
Pick you up at 05h00 from OR Tambo International Airport or your lodge/hotel nearby, and depart to Alzu-Petro Port where we will stop for breakfast.(own expense). After breakfast, we will leave via Belfast and Dullstroom to Lydenburg. From Lydenburg we head east to the Long Tom Pass. We then head for Sabie, where we will enjoy a lunch (own expense) Sabie is a small country town in a deep valley of the escarpment of the Drakensberg mountain, in Mpumalanga province. The name Sabie was derived from the Shangaans that name the river Ulusaba, “The River of fear” because the river was often in flood and teemed with crocodiles. Arriving at our camp or lodge the afternoon we will book in, and will enjoy a hearty dinner (Dinner). Clients have to put up and break down their tents for the whole trip.

Day 2

Up at 06h00 to have breakfast at 07h00. We leave at 08h00 to the 65m high Mac- Mac Falls that is a declared National Monument. This water was originally a single stream but gold miners blasted it with dynamite to divert the river in an attempt to work the rich gold-bearing reef over which it plunges. We will then visit God’s window that is a popular viewpoint located on the lip of the escarpment along the Blyde River Canyon in South Africa. The Canyon is the third largest in the world and drops 800 meters down to the Lowveld plains. Our next visit will be the amazing Berlin Falls as well as the Lisbon waterfalls. From here, we work our way to the camp or lodge where we will book in and enjoy lunch. After lunch at about 14h30 we will continue to the three Rondawels, that offers magnificent views of the famous peaks of quartzite and shale, known as the three Rondawels. We will then return to our camp or lodge where we will enjoy a nice dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 3

Into Kruger

Into Kruger

We wake up at 06h00 in time for breakfast, at 07h00 and leave our camp /lodge. We will visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes that is at the confluence of the Treur and Blyde Rivers, one of the most remarkable geological phenomena in the country. Through millions of years, the swirling whirlpools which occur at the confluence, have caused water bom sand and rocks to grind deep cylindrical potholes into the bedrock of the rivers. Our next destination will be Hazyview where we will stop for lunch. At 14h00 we will leave for South Africa’s world-renowned Kruger National Park, which offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. We enter into the famous Kruger National Park from where we will explore the park and wildlife, until we reach our camp at Pretoriuskop. We will book into our camp/lodge and will go on a sunset game drive on an open vehicle with park rangers. Later that night we will enjoy a hearty dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 4

Another day in Kruger

Leave Pretoriuskop as soon as the gates open, and see if we can spot the early morning activities of the big five, because the best game viewing is to be found first thing in the morning at a drinking hole. From here, we will make our way towards Afsaal where we will enjoy breakfast. After breakfast still on a game viewing excursion to our next destination where we will enjoy a nice lunch at the main camp of the Kruger National Park-Skukuza. We then drive towards Lower Sabie where we will stay for the night in our camp or lodge. This area attracts large numbers of game and is abundant in cheetah, lion, elephant, hippos, rhino and large herds of buffalo. Here we will go on a night game drive with park rangers, and have the opportunity to see nocturnal animals that only come out at night, and these can only be seen on a night drive. Later that night, we will enjoy a dinner together. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 5

To Mozambique

To Mozambique

Wake up at 06h00 and leave 07h00 for Komatipoort, which lies at the point at which the Komati and Crocodile Rivers meet on the western slopes of the Lebombo Mountain, and which form a natural barrier between South Africa and Mozambique. We will enjoy breakfast and then make our way to Lebombo Border Post, into Mozambique. Mozambique is one of the world’s best tropical holiday destinations, with its miles of untouched naturally beautiful coastline. We will make our way to Maputo where we will stop for en-route lunch (own expense). Then on to our last destination Xai-Xai, one of the most picturesque areas in Mozambique with spectacular views of pristine beaches and the crystal clear water of the Indian Ocean. We will book into our lodge/camp on arrival, and will book our optional activities for the next day. These activities include snorkeling, fishing, scuba diving, jet sky, whale watching and many more... Later that evening we will enjoy a hearty dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner).

More on the beach

This day will be spent on our own leisure after breakfast, with our optional activities. This popular destination has the world in its oyster. The massive reef running parallel to the beach provides natural protection against the strong waves at high tide, and forms several small pools at low tide. Snorkeling and diving are such much enjoyed during low tide. We will get together later that evening for dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner).

Wake up at 06h00 and enjoy breakfast at 07h00, to leave our camp/lodge at 08h00 via Maputo to Naamacha Border Post where we will enter the Kingdom of Swaziland. We will stop on the way for en-route lunch (own expense). From here, we will make our way to Hlane Royal National Park, where we will overnight. Hlane Royal National Park is home to the largest herds of game in the Kingdom, and including the highest density of nestling white backed vultures in Africa. It is also known for its many raptors including martial eagles, bateleurs and long crested eagles. Here we will go on a sunset game drive with rangers, which is a good time to view animals, as this is when they are most active. We will enjoy a nice dinner when we arrive back from the game drive. (Breakfast, Dinner).

Up at 06h00 to enjoy breakfast at 07h00. We will leave 08h00 to Manzini where we will visit Ngwenya glass factory. Locals are encouraged to bring glass here to be recycled and made into beautiful glass pieces. You will be able to go into the actual factory and watch as they heat and shape the glass. From here, we will enjoy lunch before we head for Mlilwane wildlife sanctuary that is Swaziland’s pioneer conservation area. Mlilwane means “Valley of Heaven ‘’ and also “Little Fire” in SiSwati, and was derived from the numerous fires started by lightening on the Mlilwane Hills. After we have booked into our lodge or camp, we will go on an Umphakatsi cultural experience, allows you to engage with the residents as they show you their culture and tradition by inviting you to participate in their cultural practices, and many more... At our return, we will enjoy a nice dinner before we get to retire to our suites or tents. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Back to the bright lights of the city

Up at 06h00 to be in time for breakfast at 07h00. We leave 08h00 from Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary to Malkerns, where we will visit the Swazi Candle factory. The highly decorative Swazi Candles are hand-made in the small African Kingdom of Swaziland, using the age- old techniques “millefore”. We will then work our way back into South Africa to Ermelo, where we will enjoy lunch that afternoon. After lunch we take our last trip to Johannesburg where we will say our goodbyes at O.R. Tambo International Airport or lodge/hotel nearby at about 18h00.(Breakfast, Lunch).
