Day 2

Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you head to the Mara Reserve. Check in at Sarova Mara Game Camp
Lodge followed by game drives in the park. Picnic lunch will be served in campsites in the park. It’s not guaranteed that we spot the migration on this particular day, however the longer we stay the higher our
chances. Nevertheless this particular day gives you the chance to view wildlife such as lions, cheetahs,
leopards, buffalos and a variety of birds’ species. It’s a perfect time to take lots and lots of pictures. In the
evening, we drive back to the lodge for dinner.

The four day presents a special opportunity to observe the Great Migration. Over 2 million wildebeest and
zebras cross the Mara River in search for greener pastures. In the process its heaven for predators as these
vulnerable pasture mammals are easy targets. The mass movement, the running battles, the resilience of
these wildebeest and the hungry predators is what makes this a world spectacle. This is the best time to
capture nature at its best. So take lots and lots of picture. You are also like to spot the big cats such as
lions, cheetahs and leopards. Other wildlife is also present for viewing.

Depart Masai Mara National Park for Amboseli National Park. Time for some big elephants. The Amboseli National Park is famous for its abundance in elephants, big cats, grasslands and a beautiful view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. It’s this amazing combination of wildlife and nature that has brought us here. Indeed this destination will be memorable.

Immediately after breakfast, you make game drives in the park. Lake Nakuru is home to over 400 birds species. Its ecosystem is also habitat to endangered white rhino, black rhino and the Rothschild giraffe. Lions, buffaloes, waterbucks and baboons are also found here. You depart to Lake Baringo at noon to the famous hot water springs. You arrive in the evening at Sarova Hill Lodge for dinner.

After breakfast you depart to Samburu National Park. You may opt to do some of the activities offered at the lodges and a visit to Samburu Villages. Dinner and overnight stay is at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge. The light and vast openness creates a lonesome panoramic beauty and the permanent water supply acts like a lure for the abundant species found here. The region is home to the uncommon Grevy's zebra with huge fury ears, gerenuk antelope standing on hind legs to feed, Somali ostriches with distinct blue legs and the shy Oryx. Elephant and crocodile are guaranteed sightings, excellent bird watching with numerous varieties of weaverbirds and the martial eagle. Leopard sighting is also a special feature here.
