3-Day Thomson Falls and Solio Ranch Safari Panari Resort

Morning drive from Nairobi to the Panari Resort Nyahururu

Guests are advised to pack warm clothes as this Safari takes you to a relatively cold place for the next 2 days. Our Safari begins in the morning after breakfast. Our guide will help you with the luggage to a waiting safari vehicle before you depart for Panari Resort in Nyahururu. This journey takes roughly 3 hours and is marked with scenic views of forests and coffee plantations. On arrival, you will be assisted to check in and keep your belongings in the room before lunch. You will then take a short rest before proceeding to the Thompson Falls located half an hour away. Thomson’s Falls is a 243-feets waterfall on the Ewaso Nyiro River in Laikipia County, a few kilometers from Lake Ol Bolossat, which drains from the Aberdare Ranges. The waterfall is a truly magical sight to behold. Make sure you take as many photos as possible. Later, you will head back to Panari Nyahururu for dinner.

Game Drive in the Solio Ranch

After breakfast, we depart for a Safari drive in the Solio Ranch. This is a full-day game drive where you get to see several species of wildlife in their natural element. The ranch is a fenced, privately owned protected area geared toward rhino conservation. The 17,500-acre reserve plays a major part in the protection and breeding black rhinos in Kenya. It therefore offers a unique chance to see rhinos up-close. The rhino is a member of the ‘Big-Five’, which are a key tourist attraction. Other than rhinos, guests will see zebras, giraffe, buffalos, impals, gazelles, eland, oryx, waterbuck and warthog. The ranch is also home to lions, leopards, hyenas, crocodiles among others. Packed lunch will be provided by the hotel and will be had during safari. Later return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Panari Nyahururu Resort.

Drive Back to Nairobi

This is our last day in Nyahuru. The day begins with breakfast before checking out of the lodge. Guests will then board the awaiting safari vehicle before departing to Nairobi City.
