South Africa ParksThe beauty of this park lies mainly in its scenery. The road to the park from Johannesburg is very scenic and the adjacent game reserve has antelope species and good bird life.

Love the sandstone cliffs and beautiful backdrop of Drankensberg mountains.
Wildlife is not often seen after the fences have been lifted.
Great scenery. Excellent hiking.

A mountain park to be visited for the scenary and for hiking; these are gorgeous and absolutely an experience to be done. It is not a bush experience but for sure a full immersion in another kind of nature, majestic and overwhelming

Nicest roads I have ever driven at 5.000 ft. height through green gras lands. A lot of wildlife: monkeys, wild zebras, dears, ...
Lovely surroundings especially if you stay in the log cabins in the mountain. I still want to go up there in the winter

Regarding highlands I prefer the central Drakensberg area with massive cliffs instead
