Nature at it's best!
Overall rating

When we visit a game reserve we like it simple. No 5 star accommodation and fancy living, just nature at its best. At Manyeleti we got everything we needed from a bush break away. Beautiful nature, peaceful surroundings. The weather was excellent and we were lucky to be there when it was a full moon. The tented accommodation allows you to be close to nature even at night. We saw plenty of elephants and even from our campsite. There is no better place to enjoy a magical night under the african stars!

(visited in 2010) The Honeyguide tented lodge offered the ultimate combination of sounds and smells of nature. The lodge offered great food in tranquillity. The reserve was not very accidentated, but well varied in bush thickness. Great herds of elephants and buffalo. Not so many roads so repetitive itineraries occurred during six game drives. Enough wildlife surprises !

Incredible first safari experience

Visited Honeyguide Mantobeni camp for about a week in February 2008. Our guides (Lyton & Eres I think) were very friendly and impressive in their knowledge of the varied wildlife, tracking and spotting. Despite hours and hours of exploring we rarely saw other safari jeeps (never private vehicles) and it often felt like we were the only people on the reserve. We saw just about every animal I can think of, with the exception of one very elusive leopard. The food was great and freshly prepared, and we watched monkeys, elephants and giraffe wandering by camp during meals. In the mornings and evenings we could hear baboons, lions and more wildlife nearby from our tents. The bush was beautiful, and the weather was just right - chilly mornings, warm days. Hoping to visit again someday!

Beautiful park connected to the Kruger. Fantastic staff couldn't do enough for us. Brilliant setting for evening meals around the camp fire and delicious food. Lovely chalets with air con. All the sounds of the Bush at night with monkeys and hyenas right outside your door. Brilliant once in a lifetime experience.

we saw plenty of wildlife but expected more but that's just luck sometimes you see a lot sometimes you don't. But the lodge was amazing (animals everywhere) our guide was amazing and one of the best things in Manyeleti is the off-road driving which you cant do in Kruger.

overall an amazing experience.
