Matobo National Park

Majestic. Moreso with the historic Cecil John Rhodes Gravesite.

Matobo (Matopos) has amazing for its scenery, historic/cultural and geologic interest, more than wildlife. balancing rocks and 10,000 year old cave paintings.

The rock formations are fantastic with a figure or face to be made out in almost every formation. A surreal experience to be awaken by hooting of Pel's fishing owl.

The core of Africa

One of the best destination in Africa for the nature, people around Zimbabwe are really friendly with you and they can only share a smile; the weather in Africa is really good between November and March, I was there in January and the weather was simply perfect everyday.
The accomodation was really basic but was good, you can try there a typical local food and some african animal meats (if you like meat), the english tour guide was excellent and really nice person.

take a good guide and go after rhinos!

Simply gorgeous. Some of the most iconic views are in Matobo.

Fantastic park, just be careful of some of the dirt roads where a "proper" 4x4 is needed

Walking safari to see rhino with baby it was wonderfull. And the I loved the view

It was helped by the guide we had but I saw so much more interesting things there than on may other safaris.

I greatly enjoyed my stay but don't have much to compare it to
