Coming from South Africa, I have been to many other national parks. At Murchison Falls NP the scenery is quite monotonous, though the tall grass is a beautiful contrast to the sand roads. Cob, elephants and giraffes seem to dominate the wildlife scene, but I did see buffalo and some other antelope as well but no zebra. The lion kill had been close to the road but too many safari vehicles were bunched together at the site, so the lions moved off into the tall grass. Another highlight was the quick sighting of a leopard walking though the grass. The birding was very rewarding!

Murchison Falls is simply incredible I remember we were a little bit behind schedule so I ask Our Guide Musafaru its just a water fall we can skip it so we can catch up Musafaru said the that will be a big mistake so he convinced us and I will say that is one of the 3 most important things we watch its just amazing

If the sun and weather helps, this could be great.

The park has some diversity of settings but the main area's we explored were the savanna habitat and the area along the river leading to Murchison Falls. There is a good diversity of antelope species and therefore predators. We saw lions but unfortunately no leopards. The river cruise was good for seeing many bird species as well as hippos, buffalo, and elephants enjoying and escape from the heat of the day.
