A country of unimaginable diversity. The big five roam its savannah plains and its forests shelter around half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas at a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The mighty Nile runs through its heart and pumps its waters through a seven metre gap at Murchison Falls National Park. Lions climb into trees on the golden savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park and chimpanzees roam in a sunken rainforest gorge. Explorers can hike the snow-capped peaks of The Mountains of the Moon and Elders exhibit the rock-art of their ancestors on the arid savannah plains of Karamoja. Visit the statuesque Shoebill in its RAMSAR wetlands and the green-breasted pitta in Kibale National Park. Take to the skies with a scenic flight or to the white-water in East Africa’s adventure capital, Jinja. After hiking in the KIgezi Highlands in the foothills of the Virunga volcanoes, relax with a postcard panorama of Lake Mutanda. Welcome to Uganda!
We, a young couple in their 30s from Germany, just came back from an unforgettable holiday adventure in Uganda with memories, which last for a lifetime. It has been an 'once in a lifetime' experience to view some of the rare mountain gorillas and humans' closest living relatives, the chimpanzees, in their natural habitat and looking them into their eyes. You will never forget this moment, for sure! Many thanks to The Adventure Committee (TAC), which made this such a wonderful trip. It couldn’t had been better. From planning to conducting, all was excellent. I highly recommend this tour provider. The contact with Steve, manager of TAC, in advance via email was perfect. He always replied prompt to all our questions and realized all our suggestions. TAC is reliable and has a good price-performance ratio. All choosen restaurants, we stopped at while driving, and all accommodations were good.
Last but not least I want to say thank you to our guide and driver Tom. While travelling through beautiful Uganda Tom drove us safe through the green countryside despite of the sometimes hard road conditions. Tom is a friendly and obliging young guy, who loves his job, Stoney and ginger biscuits. We had a great time with him while he showed us his home county. We were sad, that we had to leave. If we come back to Uganda sometime, we would choose TAC again, for sure! So if you are still not sure whether to visit Uganda, just go, you won't regret it, and TAC is a good companion.

Kombi Nation Tours-- above and beyond all expectations!
First, Steve worked with us for TWO years to arrange an itinerary in Uganda for our family of four that went through many changes and a year long postponement due to a medical issue. He was always extremely responsive, kind and friendly, and provided fantastic advice during the entire time. He arranged for a safari that involved many activities and four different accommodations. Each lodge or guest house was unique, beautifully designed, and set in breathtaking surroundings. Each provided great food and incredibly kind and attentive service. We knew we could safely eat and drink everything they offered and we certainly enjoyed ourselves doing so.
Second, when we finally embarked on our tour, which was split into two parts due to some other plans in Uganda, our first guide, Muhammad arrived the night before departure to our remote forest location, just to ensure he had the right place. This was an extremely generous act on his part and he attended some of our evening activities and we really valued getting acquainted in this way. We had two days and one night in Murchinson Falls and he made sure we saw and did everything while also somehow fitting in a little downtime and good conversation. Then-- while still driving very safely-- he had us back in time for dinner the second day.
Next, a few days later, we were picked up in Entebbe for a safari through Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park by our second guide, Jonathan. Jonathan was friendly, kind, considerate, and punctual. He was very understanding when we were not always moving very fast toward the end of our three weeks of travel. He drove very long distances through a lot of road work and dust over five days, and yet always had the van dusted out and ready for the next leg of the journey. (The value of this will be clear if you have already taken a road trip between and through national parks in Uganda).
I most enthusiastically recommend Kombi Nation Tours!
Amazingly wonderful 6-day itinerary to Kibale, QENP, Bwindi
I organised my solo travel to Uganda many months in advance with the main goal to see the gorillas and Kombi were one of the first tour operator I contacted.
They were amazing from the beginning, answering all my silly questions very promptly, giving lots of very useful details and suggesting different itineraries with different options.
I eventually chose a 6-day itinerary which included chimp tracking in Kibale, safaris in Queen Elizabeth, Gorilla tracking in Bwindi.
My guide driver Jonathan was marvellous! The nicest man!
All the activities planned are incredible, the nature lodges are incredible, the chimps, gorillas are incredible. Incredible!
I enjoyed my holidays so much because Uganda is an amazing country to visit but also because Kombi made it extremely easy for me. Once we agreed on an itinerary and a quote, everything goes smoothly.
A Fortnight of Fantastic Fun
One of the loveliest, laziest holidays ever. Steve and Rachel planned everything out beforehand, and answered every question before we asked it. Then we just sat back and let Isaac, our driver, do the rest. We saw every animal, bird and insect in existence (except the mosquito, strangely), and stayed at some fairytale locations with views that defied description. We would happily do it all again (and again) and have no hesitation in saying to anyone who is thinking of sampling Africa - choose Uganda. But make sure you let Kombi do the donkey work (yes, we even saw those) for you.
