Full Moon Over the Mara: When the Migration Meets Magic Hour
We timed our trip for the "Mara Super Moon"—when the migration coincides with lunar perigee. Queen Roseline’s team encouraged us to make the trip during that time and we thought they were nuts… until we saw the results.
Imagine:
🌕 20,000 wildebeest flowing like mercury under moonlight
🌕 Silhouetted lions hunting in monochrome brilliance
🌕 Our guide using his red-filter flashlight to spotlight owls without disturbing them
The lodge surprised us with a "moonrise dinner" on the plains, complete with Maasai star legends. By midnight, we were shooting star trails over acacias, drunk on the universe’s generosity.
Technical perks:
Charging stations for our gear at the remote bush camp
Guides who understood golden hour vs. blue hour vs. "oh-God-shoot-now hour"
A backup jeep when we (embarrassingly) drained the battery running time-lapses
Forget standard safaris. This was nature’s IMAX.
We look forward to going on other trips with Queen Roseline Safaris since we want to explore Kenya and the rest of East Africa.
Excellent and efficient service providers
I used them to visit Masaai Mara with my family, enjoyed watching the wildlife. The safari was really breathtaking and I do not regret choosing them. I will highly recommend them to anyone who wants to go for tour and have a life changing holiday experience

"Five Stars"
I had an unforgettable experience with Queen Roseline Safaris on my trip to Maasai Mara! The entire tour was well-organized, and our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we saw the best wildlife the park has to offer. The accommodations were comfortable, and every detail was taken care of, allowing us to relax and enjoy the adventure. I highly recommend Queen Roseline Safaris to anyone looking for a memorable and seamless safari experience. Five stars!
The Mara stole my heart and Queen Roseline Safaris made it effortless and very memorable!!
Ever had one of those trips where every detail just... works? That was this safari. I was nervous traveling alone, but from the moment Queen Roseline Safaris picked me up in Nairobi, I felt safe and excited. Our guide had this uncanny ability to spot wildlife like seeing a leopard in a tree several meters away. His passion for the Mara was contagious.
The 4x4 was comfortable (critical, because those roads are rough), and our small group bonded over sundowners with giraffes silhouetted against the sky.
The drive from Nairobi is long, but the Rift Valley stop breaks it up beautifully. And the lodge? Cozy, great food, and falling asleep to hyenas whooping in the distance was magic.
What I loved most? This wasn’t just a spectacle it felt ethical. The company works with local Maasai guides, and our driver emphasized keeping a respectful distance from animals. No crowded vans, no harassing wildlife for photos. Just pure, awe-inspiring nature.
If you’re hesitating don’t. This trip reminded me why we travel: to feel small in the best way.

Reliable, professional and determined to give you a memorable experience
I used Queen Roseline Safaris on my recent visit to Kenya over school holidays. I highly recommend Queen Roseline Safaris for organizing a memorable experience for my family and I. We had very responsive operators throughout the process, and our trip tailored to suit our interests. The agent provided lots of information, including recommendations to experience game drives at both Nairobi National Park and Nakuru National Park before the biggest of them-Maasai Mara which is the only one I had heard of before.
The agency did a good job planning all the logistics including airport pick up and the flight to our lodge at Maasai Mara. During the actual safaris, I appreciated that the guides were very knowledgeable about wildlife and was determined to have us see the big five.
I especially wanted to highlight that the tourism as presented by these operators very much eco-friendly. The tour guide followed all rules, not going offroad or causing any disturbance to animals, and explained to us the importance of sustainable tourism industry which protects the wildlife and supports the communities around.
I highly recommend Queen Roseline safaris for a well thought out, and seamless safari experience anywhere in East Africa. Will definitely be calling them to plan our next trip to Rwanda for the gorilla trek.
