We (my brother and me) made a 10 day Gardenroute tour. The tour was very interesting and we saw a lot. Everthing was well organized and we could just relax and enyoy our selfs. I would definitely book with Shikwaru again.

Skilled guide with a broad knowledge about everything from city to nature
My guide picked me up at the airport in Johannesburg and every day at the guest house where I stayed and she was always on time. She knew a lot about the history of Joburg and could answer any question. When we did camping she cooked amazing food. I got to learn some South African dishes. In Kruger she was really observant and always spotted the animals. She was also good at reading the behaviour of the animals so she knew whether we should wait or move on. In short it was a great experience.

Wonderful trip
Our trip had a special taste. WE had to go in Namibia in april 2020 and then the covid arrived .
During two Years WE had postponed it and WE arrived easily to rearrange it thanks to Shikwaru. Each Time Shikwaru gave us the good answer and reassurance. WE had Never been worried. WE could have done the trip WE had wished.
This trip was well organised with our private guide and the whole trip was nice and Amazing for us.
A huge thank you to permit us to live our dream with my son.

Phenomenal
Shikwaru are a great operator to chose for your experience in Kruger. Especially if you don't drive yet, they'll arrange everything for you. They're very friendly, reliable and attentive, as well as having tour options at a moderate price.
They provided us with Ruan, who was a really awesome guide. It felt like we were touring around Kruger with a close friend, rather than a guide. He went out of his way to make sure all our needs were fulfilled and that we got to see, experience and learn all that we could about Kruger during our stay there. And to top it off, he cooked and introduced us to many yummy, traditional, Afrikaans dishes. We honestly, could not have asked for better guide to experience Kruger with. Lekker!

Sensational
Ryan was very nice, I was sick and he was very helpful and caring and took me to the doctor, pharmacy etc.
The tour was great he explained us everything we had a very nice experience with him ! He cooked very good food and prepared everything well for the camping and the different visits and the safari.

Very friendly, competent and good-natured guy
I did a tour in Krugerpark with Shikwaru Adventures. Ruan was our guide and he did a phenomenal job. I enjoyed every minute of our trip and it was absolutely the highlight of my vacation in south africa.
Everything was well organized and Ruan gave his best to show us all the animals and gave us competent informations about them.

Outstanding experience
A few weeks before my holidays I contacted Federica to order a tour to Pilanesberg.
Throughout the whole process Federica and her husband did communicate quickly. To each small question, I received a dedicated and long written answer where you could see that these people really love what they are doing.
Value for money is outstanding! It was my first time in South Africa and Federica organized everything perfectly. The places offered by Federica and her husband are all self tested, so they are also very experienced and only work with people/hotels/guides they personally know. This makes sure that the package they are tailoring you fits your demands 100%.
Going the extra mile: I had so much fun talking to Federica. As a local she answers all your questions and also provides the cherry on top in terms of service. When I asked her about street food and local markets, she did not hesitate to take you and talk to the people on the street and get in contact with locals. I had the best lunch which was cooked over a fire and offered by kind local people - thanks to her. For such a unique experience you cannot pay.

Awesome!
My wife decided to surprise me for my birthday with a dream of mine. That dream was a South African Safari. Being this a very special trip, she looked for the best service and best value for the money. These guys made us feel right at home. Friendly, funny and very organized. We traveled from Johannesburg to Cape Town in 20 days, staying in amazing lodges having great food. I give Shikwaru Adventures two thumbs up. Thank you so much for making us live a great experience. FAMILY-LIKE TREATMENT
After COVID travelling arrangements eased, we were able to finally secure a flight to SA and enjoy an incredible Safari with Shikwaru Adventures. After reviewing hundreds of Safari tours we decided to settle with Shikwaru given a recommendation from a friend. We were not disappointed!
Since the start of the tour until the end, we never felt like guests to the hosts, rather like if we had known each other all of our lives. My wife and I enjoyed being treated as great friends from Shikwaru. This helped out in putting as at ease while we were exploring the landscape and discovering all the wild animals.
I would really recommend Shikwaru for anyone looking for a more intimate discovery of South Africa! Thank you again!
