Reliable and delivered on all services agreed upon
On a recent trip to Africa we wanted to spend a short period in Rwanda to visit the Gorillas. We utilized Golden Rwanda Safaris to arrange everything from the Gorilla Permits, Hotel and transfers while in Rwanda. Frank and his team were very responsive before and throughout the trip. Our Driver Claude, who was assigned to us the entire time was great and assisted us with getting our PCR tests in time to visit the Gorillas. Reactive and reliable

An Amazing Day Trip
We booked a 1-day trip to Akagera with my sister and we really enjoyed it. We appreciated the whole experience from booking to the actual visit to the park. We were able to see many animals such as baboons, impalas, elephants, zebras, eagles, hippos, crocodiles... Next time, we will book more says in order to enjoy the night and boat safari as well as visit other national parcs. I really recommend Golden Safari Rwanda and will surely come back!

Fun Day Trip!
We did the Akagera 1-day trip with Golden Rwanda Safaris. We were able to book and pay everything online, and closer to the date they put us in touch with the driver.
The pick-up was timely, the car was comfortable, clean and spacious and the best surprise was that it was only our group! The park was nice and the driver worked hard to get us many animal sightings. We had lunch at the park which was nice as well. We returned to the hotel happy!
There was a small misunderstanding on breakfast and the COVID test (we did not know it was needed) but we engaged with the owner who apologized profusely and gave us a partial refund. Mistakes can happen of course so we very much welcome the effort to make it right! Would definitively reach out to them if we are ever in Rwanda again.

Incredible service
I booked my trip, which included a gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park, a 2-day safari in Akagera and a Kigali city tour, in 2019 for June 2020. 2 Years of COVID craziness (especially as I was living in Hong Kong, which has the most stringent and chaotic travel restrictions in the world), led to constant changes and re-bookings on my part. Throughout Frank was incredibly helpful and patient...I felt so bad about all of the chaos, but he always accommodated me.
The trip itself went perfectly - not a complaint. The accommodations and food Frank selected were terrific, and he actually provided me with more than I was expecting. My guide and driver, Claude, was also extremely knowledgeable, a great driver and a lot of fun. Both Frank and Claude were open and gave a lot of personal insight into Rwanda's sad recent history.
As a bonus, the vehicle was comfortable, and we saw everything there was to see on the safari in Akagera. I had such an amazing time that I'm planning on returning with some of my family members and would gladly use Golden Rwanda Safaris again, without hesitation.

Amazing tour of Rwanda with resourceful and knowledgeable Guide
We had a fantastic 5 days tour of Rwanda with Golden Rwanda in June 2022. The tour operator was suggested by a long time friend who often travels to Rwanda for business.
We visited the Nyungwe National Park and Volcanoes National Park and on the way we stopped over at Lake Kiwu. We saw primates, had great treks in the rain forest and on Mount Bisoke and enjoyed the beauty of the Rwandan hilly landscape. We really liked all the hotels that we stayed at: the customer service was excellent and the rooms and dining were up to the best standards.
Our guide Annie (one of 5 female guides in the country) was the best ambassador for Rwanda. She is extremely knowledgeable about the nature, geography and history of the country. She could answer all our questions. She also helped us getting the right gear for the treks (we came from a conference and only had urban clothing). More importantly she was extremely friendly and has great humour, which made for a very fun tour and great conversations during the drives.
Frank from Golden Rwanda was very helpful in suggesting the right itinerary for us and very flexible in designing it based on our preferences. He was very quick in responding to our emails which made for an easy planning. He is a perfectionist that strives to provide the best customer experience.
We would definitely recommend Golden Rwanda. Great value for money, the best guide and attention to all details made us love our trip. We cannot wait to be back in Rwanda and have another tour with them!

Brilliant
From start of booking process to the final drop off after the trip this was a truly superb experience. Myself and 4 friends were driven by JeanMari who was a truly excellent driver and guide and looked after us all day in Akagera National Park. Saw every animal except lions and plenty of food drinks and rest stops. Very comfortable safari vehicle with opening roof WiFi and charging sockets. Very comfortable. Truly an amazing day. Highly recommend this safari company to anyone. Loved it and will use them again if I ever get the chance.

Frank and team are professional, responsive, and deliver desired travel in Rwanda.
Booked back-to-back tours with gorilla trecking in Volcanoes National Park, and big five safari in Akagera National Park. Golden Rwanda Safaris were flexible and provided professional guidance and tour guides to make my dream gorilla trecking and big game African photo safari come true. For gorillas we spent an hour with a 22-member gorilla family as they eat and played, which included two silverbacks, two babies, and other varying aged gorillas and were supported by national park guides and excellent trackers. For big game safari, saw many, many wild animals and birds throughout the park on both day and night tours. Spent two nights at each location. Accommodations and food were excellent. Felt safe and secure at all times.

Excellent service, incredible experience
I was in Rwanda for an academic trip that was only planned a few months in advance. My colleagues and I were worried about not being able to get the desired permits for the weekend we were traveling, but Frank worked closely with us to build the tour we wanted and everything went off without a hitch! Joanna was an amazing guide and the golden monkey and gorilla experiences were truly unforgettable. I would say once-in-a-lifetime, but in all honesty I hope to go back someday!
