Friendly, knowledgeable, honest, incredible customer service
5/5

We did a 3 night / 4 day tour with expect in Africa for our honeymoon. We were a bit worried about paying everything upfront, but it turned out the company is ran by the most incredible set of human beings. They were incredibly nice throughout and made sure that we were comfortable from the first minute until we finished the tour. Our guide was Joseph, a remarkable gentleman whose knowledge of animals and the landscape was astonishing. He had an answer to 99% of our questions, and we are very curious people! He was with us every step of the way but at the same time respected the space honeymooners need. He is honest, reliable and reassuring. His driving skills were impressive (1100 km driven in 4 days) and has great eyesight, an extremely important feat when trying to spot animals. We couldn’t have found a better person to make our trip extra special. We are very thankful and extremely grateful to have chosen Lawrence and Exepct in Africa. 5 stars all around!!!

Excellent service and the knowledge about animals and their habitat.
5/5

Definitely one of most remarkable experiences in my life!

They organized whole 4 day trip with amazing lodge accommodations and food. Guide Ray is one in a million I tell you! His kindness and knowledge about animals and their habitat is beyond anything I ever experienced so far. He was able to spot animals everywhere and we saw literally every animal that was possible to see in those national parks.

Nevertheless I was glad to support small, local and family driven company which is doing extraordinary job, rather than supporting some foreign safari company - they literally are the best you can get out there without a doubt!

I am definitely coming back and will do another safari with this company and I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for real safari experience!

Asante Sana & till next time ♡

Nothing short of exceptional! I felt like I was in a National Geographic documentary.
5/5

Our group of seven’s safari experience was nothing short of exceptional!
We covered Arusha, Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks as well as Ngorongoro Conservation Area over a 7 day period. A lot of ground to cover, but what an experience.

Each morning the day’s itinerary was outlined by our guide (Raymond). The Land Cruiser sat ready …clean & tidy and a large “box lunch” was provided for each of us. Cold drinks were aboard in the cooler.
Not only did we see the Big 5 but we saw them in spades. We had fantastic looks at some of the large predators like lions, leopards and cheetahs; large grazing herds of wildebeests, gazelles, buffalo and antelopes as well as wallowing hippopotamus, lumbering elephants and stately giraffes.

Our guide worked hard and seemed to have a 6th sense in terms of locating wildlife. Not only were we very close to large herbivores, carnivores and birds but we viewed them in a setting where they seemed quite oblivious to us. They continued to hunt, graze, scavenge, dabble, court and even copulate in a stunning landscape.

Nothing seemed to escape our guide’s keen eye. He was an avid bird watcher and not only able to spot and identify the many spectacular bird species we saw, but speak to their natural history and behaviour as well. Same went for the mammals large and small, reptiles like Nile crocodiles, lizards and turtles/tortoises.

Our safari was rounded out with a visit to a Mbugwe village on the edge of Tarangire National Park. Here we learned about the people living there and how they lived, how they fed and supported themselves, their customs, beliefs and their outlook on the future. Our guide served as a respectful interpreter for our conversations with the Mbugwe villagers. We also stopped by a Maasai village for an insightful tour.

Our accommodation and meals were in 3 different locations were great. Three nights in a ‘bush camp’ in a spacious tent with 2 queen sized beds and a three piece bathroom was hardly roughing it. Staff were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. A hot towel and cold drink on our arrival offered another touch of class. Meals offered were variety of interesting regional dishes and well as standard fare for less adventurous tastes.

Both our guide Raymond and his brother Lawrence were shining examples of competent, caring and professional entrepreneurs with a small fledgling company. I highly recommend you consider them if you are looking for a safari trip of a lifetime. It was an epic trip for me that I will never forget!

Expect in Africa Safari also organized a 6 day climb on Mount Kilimanjaro. I’m happy to report all 7 ladies in the group made the summit. Our success had everything to do with the care, support and professionalism of our guides, cook and porters. We climb the Murangu route and stayed in rustic “chalets”. Food was hot and plentiful and our cook dropped by every evening during dinner. Our guides actually sang songs to keep us motivated on the final climb to the summit. It was a grind but we made it. Thanks to our devoted entourage of 21 as well as Expect in Africa Safari organizers. Another trip of a lifetime that I can boost about for decades.

An amazing experience of safari in the northern part of Tanzania
5/5

I had the opportunity to have a tour of the northern parks of Tanzania with Expect in Africa Safari and my experience with the company has been amazing. Lawrence, the manager helped me to arrange the flight from Italy to Tanzania and proved to be helpful, kind and really trustworthy. During my stay in the Country I had the opportunity to visit the Tarangire National Park, the Lake Eyasi, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Serengeti National Park and the Lake Natron. The guide, Raymond, picked me at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and brought me to the accomodation in the nearby city of Arusha, a green and vibrant city in the northern part of the Country, where I spent the first night before starting my tour from Tarangire the day after. Raymond, a really ice guy, fulfilled all of my requests and answered my questions about wildlife and culture of Tanzania. In the Tarangire National Park, famous for the beautiful baobab trees, I saw a lot of elephants and pytons lying on the branches of the trees and I have been extremely lucky to see some lions resting under the shadow of an acacia. I spent the night in the nearby Osupuko Lodge, a really nice lodge just out of the main gate, overlooking on the river which crosses the park. There I could admire a magnificent sunset, definitely the most suggestive I had attended in my life. My trip continued up the Lake Eyasi, about 100 kilometers north the day after. There I could get in touch with the local people, the Hadza, an ethnic group of hunters and gathers who still conduct a traditional way of life. Not far I spent the next full day at the Ngorongor Conservation Area and I had a safari in one of the most beautiful and incredible ecosystems of the world. It si basically a caldera which have been created by the collapse of an ancient volcano and there it is possible to admire lions, zebras, hyppos, rhinos, serval cats, antilopes, impala and several different species of birds. After have passed the night in the nearby Rhino Lodge, on the slopes of the Ngorongoro, Raymond and I headed the great plane of Serengeti, definitely the best place for a safari tour. It spans for 30000 km2 and there I saw lions killing and eating a zebra, leopards sleeping on the trees, I could admire the majestic beauty and class of the cheetahs and tens of giraffes, elephants, hyppos and other animals. Overall I spent 3 days in the Serengeti and I accomodate in the Osupuko tented camp, completely in the wild where I could here elephants moving during and crying hyenas during the night. I spent the last two days of my stay in Tanzania at the Lake Natron, a salted lake bordering Kenya which lays at the foot of the Oldoinyo Lengai, an active volcano which is extemely important for the Masaai who populate the area. They believe that God lives on the top of the volcano and when it erupts, means that God is angry, hence the Masaai are supposed to sacrifice a goat in his name. The colorful dress, the pride of this population and their will to preserve their traditional way of life really impressed me and I really appreciate the effort they are doing in order to defend their uses and customs. Once back to Arusha I had also the chance to have a walk in the local market, smelling the spicy air and being enchanted by the colourful fruits and veggies on the stands, with the opportunity to interact with the friendly sellers.
My experience in Tanzania with Expect in Africa Safari has been amazing. I had the opportunity to discover a new country and thank to the professionalism and passion of Raymond and Lawrence I could appreciate a different culture. I strongly reccomend Expect in Africa Safari and I am confident that future travellers will enjoy Tanzania as I did.
