Showers of thanks to the team
5/5

I would humbly like to thank the whole Asili reservation team and our Guide Joe, you guys really made our holiday great and memorable. A friend recommended you to us and immediately started conversation, Dennis was replying our queries even in midnight African time, he set all the necessary preparations including accommodation and safari plan right and on time. Joe took us from Arusha to Tarangire where we have a wonderful experience there, we saw the herds of African elephants very close, the we went to Serengeti park it was so amazing we sawa a lot of animals there, we saw the lioness hunting and kill the buffalo. We spent two nights in Serengeti and drove to Ngorongoro crater another wonder of the world, we didn't expect to see such a creation. I can't finish expressing everything we experienced in this safari but it was full of excitement.

Thank you and we hope to come back for more expeditions

What een experience, unforgettable!
5/5

In november my boyfriend and I went on a 5 day private safari net Asili Explorer. Een local company run by Joe. It was fantastic!!

Joe arranged everything for us in a perfect manner. He picked us up at the airport in Arusha en dropped us at the and at the airport Kilamanjaro. We vistited 3 parks: Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorogoro. We saw so many wildlife, incredible. We saw the big 5, the great migration and many other animals. Het knows the way en is able to spot the wildlife, moreover he knows a lot about the ecosystem in the parks so he explains what you see. Nothing is too much!

He arranged all our accomodations in in consultation with us and the contact by email before the trip was really good. There was a packed lunch everyday en lots of cooled water in the car.

Finally he offers a really good price for the safari with high quality. So we recommend Joe en his company!

Asili Explorer give you the best value for the sild life in Tanzania National parks
5/5

We can recommend Asili Explorer, they arranged the very best safari tour for us. Our guide and driver Epzata, took us to the best places in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Epzata have been in this branch for 17 years and know safari and how to do it exiting. The plan was to see the big five, we met four, miss out the Rhino. We met a lot of Elefants which was fighting, hunting lions, a leopard which was up in a tree, eating a gnu. A lot of big buffalo. I think we saw 7 different antilopes, giraff, waterbuck, hyena, pelican, hippo, sebra, gnu, crokodile and a lot of different birds. We was driving around in a good, well maintained, Toyota Land Cruiser Safari. Thanks to Epzata, Joe and Elly.

Very Attentive and Knowledgeable. Unforgettable Experience -Great customer service-free wifi in car!
5/5

I highly recommend Joe from Aslili Explorer as your tour guide for an African safari. I went on a 4 night Serengeti tour him and it was an amazing experience. He's from Arusha and has many years of experience as a tour guide and operator - so you are in great hands. He picked me up from my hotel in Arusha and dropped me off at the airport on my way to Zanzibar. His vehicle is clean and roomy - he has free water, snacks, and wifi throughout the entire trip. He has guidebooks and binoculars as well. He is also very knowledgeable about the area - from the terrain, to the wildlife and climate, to the animals and migratory patterns - he knew where the game drives were and how to get there. He doesn't just do the same trip every time. He tailors your experience to the time period and the current environment, so that you can get the maximal experience possible. We even went out before sunrise one morning because I wanted to catch a lion hunt down some zerbras! He's also a smart and funny dude and his English is very good. There were no hidden fees/costs and the lodging's were all the same as in the itinerary.

Personalized & Customized!
5/5

Joe and Asili Explorer is a local safari operator with a vast knowledge of all the national parks in Tanzania - particularly the Serengeti.

Asili has one car, which means that you will have a very private, personalized, and customized tour that suits exactly the kind of safari you and your loved ones or friends want. When you book with Asili, you can be assured that you're getting one-on-one attention to detail.

While inside the park, we observed other tours where the cars were full of random samplings of people. Can you imagine having to share such an expensive vacation with strangers who have different priorities for what they want to do/see? It would be very stressful and not as amazing.

What you get with Asili is a local guide and driver who has developed and maintained personal relationships with the various lodges, tented camps, park staff, and restaurateurs all over the country of Tanzania. If you choose Tanzania for your safari, you should choose Asili.

Joe is very friendly, knowledgeable, and prepared for multiple contingencies. He comes prepared with lots of water, medicine, and even provides coffee and wine options for those interested - he brings his own wine glasses and coffee mugs. His business is a family business, and at the end of the tour, my wife and I were invited over to his home to share a meal with his lovely wife and children. That's the kind of experience you'll get with Asili: personal, customized, caring, friendly.

You can't go wrong (unless you choose a different tour company).

Serengeti adventure with Asili Explorer - lived up to all our expectations!
5/5

Going to Tanzania to see the wildebeest migration was a life long dream for me! So after making the decision to go the next step was to select a tour operator. There were 3 factors - price, quality of service and having a reliable tour operator to take care of all logistics once we were in the country. Well, I can honestly say that Joe and his company Asili Explorer ticked all the boxes. Joe was able to offer a variety of packages that worked with our budget, he was super flexible when it came to planning our dates and the sites we wanted to see. Service was brilliant making our whole holiday really easy and stress-free. The accommodation selected was wonderful - giving us a truly African experience. The best was placed we stayed in was in the Serengeti - the tented accommodation was not what we expected - it was better! Waking up in the middle of the bush was a magical experience! And finally our guide, Efatha - was a wealth of knowledge, particularly on birds and willing to answer our thousands of questions! Thank you Joe and Efatha - you made our experience a dream come true!

You Cannot Do Better than Asili Explorers
5/5

Our safari to the Serengeti was amazing. Asili Explorers is a locally managed tour operator, not one of the larger outfits out of Nairobi. Joe Kessey offered personal service as we planned the trip. He found us wonderful accommodations throughout our safari and planned the side trip to Oldupai Gorge. Our guide, Epatha, is simply the best. A 20 year veteran of safaris to the Serengeti, he has an uncanny ability to spot camouflaged animals. He is extremely knowledgeable about all of that we saw and is an excellent teacher.

We could not have done better than our selection of Asili Explorers.

A remarkable Safari Experience!!!!
5/5

My husband and I decided to go on safari in Africa, having the experience of working with travel agents a lot but Asili Explorer was by far the best we have ever worked before, their responsiveness and willingness to as assist us to get the best of African safaris exceeded our expectation. As the first time travelers to Tanzania and Africa in general, we had so many questions to ask, and Sharif responded to all of our questions in time. Initially we had brief converzation with him about the Parks we would like to visits in Tanzania, and he developed a perfect itinerary that perfectly match our interests. We went to Tarangire where we saw herds of elephants, Oh my God! they are so big, also we saw the baobabs trees, our guide (Joe) told us they are over 500 years old, I never knew before that there are things that could live that long. The next day we went to Serengeti where we stayed for two nights, Serengeti plain is huge and have lots of wild animals and shrubs, It’s a paradise. And lastly we went to Ngorongoro which was by far the most beautiful landscape we have ever seen no wonder it’s among the Seven Wonders of the World. Joe was helpful through out the Safari he worked tireless, driving and telling us the story about animals and places simultaneously. Indeed, he was one of the most knowledgeable, professional and friendly tour guide we have ever worked. We wish we could have visited other places and spent more time with him, we were sad to say goodbye to him. Thank you Joe and Sharif for giving us an amazing experience hopeful we will see you again in the future.
