I always wanted to see and take photos of the wild animals
5/5

I always wanted to see and take photos of the wild animals I'd seen in guidebooks. So I decided to participate in a tour of Savannah Sound Safaris. Our guide Danson showed us valuable moments, such as lion hunting animals and battles of lions, hyenas and bald eagles. Yes, we were surely excited and fully satisfied to have such experience. Our guide is very good at Japanese speaking, as well as Chinese, English and of course his native Swahili and Kikuyu. So we had no problem understanding what we wanted to know about animals and birds. He taught us exactly what we asked. I feel very grateful we got chance to be on such wonderful safari tours everyday.

Went to Masai Mara and Lake Naivash
5/5

I have experiences traveling all over the world from Japan. Still this is my first trip to Africa. That is Savannah Sound Safaris' trip to Kenya. First of all, I was very impressed about our guide Danson's delicate attentions to us. For example, advices for proper hydration, bathroom breaks, introducing souvenir shops. Although it is inconspicuous, in reality, the basic matters that would support the journey are carefully considered, and it was all perfect. Also I was impressed by his driving skill. There are not paved inside the wildlife reserve so it is bad rough road depending on the location. Even on the rough roads, he has specialty in the driving techniques to surely and safely. Thanks to his hospitality, I was able to fully enjoy every day without any concern.

We went to Masai Mara Game Reserve and Lake Naivasha in safari tour. In December we visited, many of gnus and zebras had moved to Tanzania, but still we could meet enough wildlife. According to guide Danson, it is difficult to find other animals in summer peak season because there are too many gnus and zebras. In fact, we could see the Big 5, as well as impalas, gazelles, warts, mongooses and tumblebugs so closely.

Even if there are many animals, the place where we can see them is not fixed. It is not a zoo in the city, you know. So, you have to go across the reserve widely. But it’s not smart to move blindly. You have to move and head to the point based on the information of the previous day, also the weather on the day or the situation. Danson accomplishes such supernatural work without any difficulty. A guide is not just a guide clerk, I think that it is an IP expert and also a creator.

My first Kenya. I had mixed feelings of expectations and anxiety before going out, but now only big satisfaction remains in my mind by encountering a wonderful guide, I would like to meet wild animals again with Savannah Sound Safaris next time.

Thank you very much.

Absolutely amazing, informative and timely.
5/5

Timely and efficient booking process and pickup from our hotel.

The trip was quite a lengthy day excision but we enjoyed rest stop that included our choice is snack free of charge , and the lunch spot on the safari tour was absolutely amazing.

Our guide, Danson made the trip most unique and memorable. We felt safe, enjoyed laughs and even a little shopping. His knowledge of the safari and country at large is extensive.

Should I return, Danson will be my one and only request for future tours.

Much appreciated,
Simone

Incredible Great Bird Watching with Big Five
5/5

Since we were interested in birds as well as mammals, our tour guide Danson Karanja who was an excellent commentator taught us about various birds we saw. He knows very well. The most impressed moment was that I could watch the crowned cranes sitting on her eggs!! Danson took us to the point where we can observe the nest of crowned cranes, and spent enough time at the point. We could watch them not only sitting on the eggs but also the parents cranes standing up and fixing the nest with their beaks so we could find eggs below their feet.

If you are planning wildlife observation in Kenya, I would strongly recommend to bring a monocular or binocular. It would make your experience double the pleasure. You can watch birds catching and swallowing lizards or insects clearly which is difficult with the naked eye.

If you are a photographer, don't forget to bring a larger size of memories and reserve battery with you.

Incredible safari experience with knowledgeable, fun, patient tour operator
5/5

The service was excellent!! Our tour guide Karanja was prompt and communicated well and we had no problems with logistics. It was obvious that he knew the Mara really well, and knew where to take us to see as many animals as possible. He was also funny and relaxed throughout the tour, and knew a lot about the animals and was very patient and open to being peppered with questions by us. I would definitely recommend taking a safari with him! The safari definitely exceeded my expectations and was an incredible experience.

Great experience with Savannah Sound Safaris!
5/5

I've been on several safaris in Kenya before and thought that Savannah Sound Safaris is one of the most well-run tour operators I've worked with! I enjoyed them so much that I've gone on two separate safaris with them actually. I had Danson both times as our tour guide; he was great- knowledgeable and friendly. Communication leading up to trip was prompt and reliable, they were very flexible and accommodating with any changes we wanted to make to the itinerary, and (unlike other operators I've worked with) they weren't pushy with their suggestions. However, when asked for recommendations, they would gladly give them. Overall, excellent customer service. I would highly recommend Savannah Sound to anyone considering a safari.
