fantastic safari in botswana
5/5

We had a wonderful safari in Botswana thanks to Tony and his team. Initially our idea was to visit mainly Okawango area but thanks to suggestions from Tony (always kind and available) we had the chance to visit Chobe, Savuti, Okawango and Nata (plus a quick visit to Victoria Falls). Everything fantastic with great organization and friendship. Thanks to Tony and his team we felt in love with this country.

Best week of my life!
5/5

I spent 6 days with Tony on an adventure of a lifetime that took me from Maun to Kasane. Along the way I experience many wondrous things: I took a canoe ride through the Okavango Delta; passed through Madabe Game Reserve where I saw elephants, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, many kinds of antelope, ostrich, an abundance of birds and lions; spent 3 wonderful days in Savuti, where Tony used his incredible tracking skills to find us 3 leopards and a pride of lions with cubs. the bird life in Savuti was remarkable - if you love raptors, you will love Savuti; finally, I had 2 days in Moremi Game Reserve where Tony took me on an exhilarating night drive and I also saw a honey badger, porcupines, wild dogs, hippos, eagles, lions, hyenas, jackals, vervet monkeys, crocodiles, bush babies and, my personal favourite, a dung beetle pushing along a cricket ball sized ball of dung.

It was fun and exciting to sleep in tents with the sounds of the jungle at night going on around me, and the T-bone steaks that Tony cooked up on the BBQ were delicious. Simple living at its finest.

You can only see what you see and this is a good mantra to take into any safari. But, with the experience Tony can give you, your chances of seeing something remarkable are greatly enhanced. He is mightily passionate about the animals he shares the wonderful country of Botswana with and is a tremendously entertaining character with a wonderfully gentle soul. His stories will inspire you and his knowledge of the animals you are watching will fascinate you.

The best experience!
5/5

We went on a 5-day trip with Tony, spending 2 nights in Savuti and 2 in Chobe. Our experience was amazing; Tony is a great guide and very knowledgable. We saw loads of animals on each game drive, from lions to wild dogs and even a jackal chasing a baby wildebeest. The stay was also great, the tent and installations were comfortable and the food delicious. We can't wait for our next trip with Tony!

In 2017 we did in Chobe 3 marvellous days with Tony and his team, so we decided , to come back this year in November for 10 days.
I can attest that « as we are not used to leave in camps in the bush », Tony and his team make it so easier and marvellous!
; game drive, lunch, dîner , nights with all the unknown noises!!
It was incredible again « marvellous »
I want to go back for that real connection with Botswana savage animals life
Thank you Tony

Amazing safari the best guide
5/5

Went with Tony and his team for six fantastic days. We saw a lot of mammals and birds, thanks to Tony. With a lot of knowledge of both animals and nature he could show us more than I ever had expected to see on my first safari. I can recommend Tony with all my heart.
The team was great, except all animal experiences we had a lot of good food always ready after the game drives, comfortable beds in our tent and a lot of care-taking from Ben and Eddie.

An Amazing Adventure
5/5

Our six nights, seven days Botswana trip was an unforgettable adventure. We went all the way from Kasane to Maun with Tony Mobile Safari. One night in Kasane for a river boat safari, one night in Chobe, two nights in Savuti and two nights in Moremi. We finished off with a peaceful mokoro tour in Maun with hippos grunting right next to the canoe.

Everything was planned out perfectly with a team of one guide and two guys who managed the mobile camp. We were amazed from how quickly the staff prepared both our meals and our big luxury tent before we arrived to the campsites. The camp were set up in great locations, the last one near Khwai river (in the Okavango Delta) where elephants visited daily.

Tony, our guide drove us in an open safari vehicle (land cruiser). To be able to drive in Chobe national park with all it’s sand, mud, water crossings and small connecting roads the driver must have a huge experience about the area, which our guide had since he grew up in the area.

Game viewing was very good. The number of different animals on the safari was incredible and the differences between Chobe, Savuti and Moremi made the trip complete. Some of the highlights was spotting wild dogs (twice!!), close up elephant encounters, a male lion having his kudu baby dinner and of course many wonderful sunsets. The birdlife in Chobe national park is remarkable too.

Tony is a well experienced guide and knows everything there is to know about nature; from the name of the tiniest little bird to the big carnivores and their behavior. He’s also involved in conserving wildlife and if you are interested he will tell you bush stories and about the issues the game reserves and the animals are facing today and in the future.

Tony is an easy going guy, always joking or singing, and that made even the long transportation days in the car fun.

Over all, we had a fantastic time and everything ran very smoothly, I would definitely recommend Tony Mobile Safari.

Excellent guides; a small local company
5/5

Re: Safari to Savuti and Chobe (6 days - mostly camping) with Tony Mobile Safari. We were booked with them through another tour operator but I now wish we had found them and booked directly ourselves. It is good to support a smaller, local company and I believe we had a better experience than if we had been booked with a larger, more commercial one. Our guide was Vincent and we also met the owner, Tony, as he was guiding others who camped with us. Vincent was very knowledgeable about the animals and the environment. Vincent and Tony both obviously have a genuine passion for Wildlife conservation. They were very skilled at spotting animals as well. Finally, they both had a unique sense of humour! The staff Jackie, Eddie and Ben were all great, too. The food was very good and the chef even accommodated a request for vegan food! The tents and bedding were warmer and more comfortable than I expected, too. The sleeping pads and bags were actually more comfortable than the beds at the lodges! Everyone was very friendly and the camp felt totally safe, knowing that we had very knowledgeable guides nearby. If your priority is to have as much time seeing the wildlife as possible and you'd like an authentic experience, you should consider camping with Tony Mobile Safari as opposed to booking a more luxurious option.

Absolutely Amazing Experience!
5/5

Our group of four adults spend five days and four nights with Tony and his team, exploring Chobe and Suvuti. Tony arranged for our pick up in Victoria Falls and transfer to Kasane, where he met us and gave us more details about the next five days. We spent two nights camping in Chobe and two nights camping in Suvuti. The drive to Suvuti was long, but absolutely worth it. One reason I choose Tony was his willingness to customize the itinerary and take us to Suvuti, when others weren't willing to do so in such a short period of time. We had the time of our lives. We saw the most incredible, intimate experiences in the wild. At one point Tony followed leopard tracks in the sand and eventually lead us to a leopard in a tree eating it's morning kill! From there, we saw five baby cub lions nursing and playing with their mom and dad. It was so surreal! Definitely recommend Tony and his team.
