Gorilla tracking in West Uganda
5/5

Ronald organised a fabulous 4 day whistlestop tour of west Uganda for me. He was super prompt replying to any email, and outlines various options for me to choose from. The gorilla trekking was of course a highlight, only topped off by being rugby-tackled to the ground by a baby gorilla which was amazing. Although Ronald didn't accompany me on the tour, he organised for Grace (one of Uganda's very few female tourist guides) to escort me around. Grace was a fount of knowledge and some very amusing stories. Thanks to Grace I sampled the local matoke (mashed up banana) which was far more tasty than I would have thought. She also tackled the Uganda roads with ease which is no mean feat. Many thanks to both Ronald and Grace. I look forward to my next trip!

Eight wonderful days with Kajie Safaris
5/5

I took my plane to Entebbe with a feeling of uncertainty clouding my mind, but it all dispersed as soon as I landed at the destination airport. Thanks to safaribookings.com for recommending kajiesafaris. It was an eight-day trip and I found to my great relief that everything was in place. Ronald Muvunyi of kajiesafaris is a well-organized, transparent, amiable and spirited young man. After having exchanged scores of mails between ourselves, the plan for the trip was finalized. My day in Uganda began on the morning of 9th June 2019. As was scheduled, Ronald guided me to Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Lake Bunyonyi that included, among others, chimp trekking, mountain gorilla trekking and game drive. The days flitted fast, and on the day of my return, a shroud of sadness wrapped me at the Entebbe airport, as Ronald left me with his sweet smile.

From the first email contact to the last drop off at the airport Ronald and Kajie Safaris were A++
5/5

Kajie Safaris front man Ronald was a star from the very beginning. All email querys were answered within the hr and he understood immediately the needs of an ageing and demanding Scotman. The quotes were very competitive and I was fortunate to have had Ronald personally recommended by Ugandan friends who had also used their services.

The tour itself was one of a little drama, great excitement and sheer wonder at the glory of being 10ft away from a massive beautiful silverback. Please dont be put off by the stories of 2 to 3 hr hikes through tough jungle. If you are older like myself and perhaps equally a little unfit, please note that our Tour guide Onesmus put in the fix and arranged a visit to see a family that required just a 15 minute hike through the jungle. My wife and I have been on several African safaris, but seeing the silver back up close with his family was unforgetable ......... simply the best.
We stayed at the Lake Mutanda Resort .... if there is a more lovely area in Africa, then I need to visit there next. An absolute paradise for bird watchers. The welcome we received and the service were spot on.
If I have any advice to travellers ..... if you have the budget for it do use the internal flights. Long journeys on bumpy roads do take it out of you.

A visit that will remain in the memory banks and a company that are a credit to Ugnada. Well Done Ronald.

Kaije Safaries gave us the best Uganda experience I ever could imagine!
5/5

Before the trip I have several mail contacts with Ronald. He was very quick to response to all questions I had.
Ronald was an experienced and very social tour guide. His knowledge gave us an extra dimension to this journey and we learned a lot about Uganda life. We had long conversations over the dinners and it was really nice.
The chimpanzee walk was great, so as the game drive in Queen Elisabeth National Park. But the highlite was, of course, the gorilla trek. To be able to sit within 2 m from a silverback was just amazing!
But the safari was so much more than just the animals. The every day life of Uganda was just as amazing to be part of, and Ronald stopped wherever we wanted to, e.g I had a skirt sewed in one of the villages where we stopped. We also tried different food along the way; i never had banana beer before :)
The lodges were excellent and an extra plus for The Bush Lodge, where we had Hippos crunching into our lodge and sat and had dinner under the stars, what a great experience!!
Ronald have wifi in the car, which was great, and aircondition and water bottles, so no lack of that. He also had availability to charge the phone/camera
We had an extra day in Entebbe before we left, and a tip is to take some days extra just to relax before you get home, the safari is great but also very busy. It would have been great to just relax for some days before going home.
Uganda is a very nice and pleasant country. We felt very welcome of the locals and felt safe to stroll around. we will definitely come back again!

Weekendtrip in Murchison Falls
5/5

We went on a safari with Ronald to Murchison Falls for one weekend. Before the trip Ronald was great at keeping contact and answering questions. We were seven girls and we couldn’t be happier with our trip. Ronald did everything he could to make us satisfied. He kept in contact with other guides so that we were able to see as much as possible including, the big five. Ronald is a very kind and funny guide and through the weekend we developed a friendship. You can certainly say that he was the perfect guide. We highly recommend him to everyone thats planning a safari in East Africa. Love from Norway.

Great trip with a great guide!
5/5

We have nothing to complain about on the 5-day safari (Lake Mburo, Queen Elizabeth, Kibale Forest) that we have booked with Kajie Safaris. Before we left, Ronald patiently prepared a detailed itinerary with us, in accordance with our wishes. During the trip itself everything was arranged to perfection! The means of transport was spacious and equipped with air conditioning, wifi, charging points, a roof that could open and enough water. All overnight stays (in places with beautiful views!) And accompanying meals were very good and we never felt unsafe during the sometimes long car journeys. During the game drives and nature walks we have seen many animals up close: very cool! With his humor, knowledge about Uganda, endless commitment and pleasant presence, Ronald is the best guide you could wish for! He works hard to make your trip a success. When we go to Uganda again, we know who we are booking with!

Excellent!
5/5

There is nothing bad to say about this company and their tours. It was just perfect. First Ronald immediately answered our emails and tailored a special 6 day tour for us. Ronald then came and met us at Lake Bunyonyi before he handed us over to our extremely helpful guide Reward. Reward certainly lived up to his name. We couldn't have asked for a better guide or driver. He was enthusiastically commenting on all the birds and animals we encountered. All the time he was thinking of our needs and is certainly the best and most careful driver I have encountered on the African continent.
Also the value for money must be mentioned. We took the budget option but the food and accommodation was definitely a higher standard than we expected.
Reward took us to the incredible Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where we were rewarded with a close up encounter with the rare mountain gorillas after a very strenuous hike. We also got to see chimps, hippos and lions in Queen Elizabeth Park.

Incredible week in Rwanda and Uganda. Exactly what we needed.
5/5

A friend and I traveled with Kajie Safaris in February to both Rwanda and Uganda. It has been my dream for a long time to visit the gorillas (and of course see a lot more), and after some shopping around, chose them to book with. I am so so happy we did. The decision was made after just a few email exchanges with Ronald. He was so responsive and accommodating of all our requests to alter the listed tour. I loved communicating with him through email so much that we knew it would be a good fit.

Ronald was with us from the moment we landed until dropping us off at the airport on our last day. He put together an incredible experience for us, altering the plans many times as he got to know us better and better. The accommodation choices were better than I anticipated (we went with mid range ones). He is truly passionate about what he does and the sites he is taking people to. We were in great hands and he made it a perfect trip. Even the (necessary) long car rides were so much fun as we learned about the country, each other and took turns playing DJ while watching the stunning scenery around us. By the end it totally felt like we were traveling with a good friend. I have traveled extensively through Africa, and this was by far the best company I’ve worked with. I couldn’t recommend them more.

Value for money, client focused company
5/5

Booked with this company on a recommendation from other travellers. We booked the budget version and were very pleasantly surprised at our lovely accommodation which definitely did not feel budget. One lodge even has a very large hippo wander through the campsite but a security guard is never far away as your grabbing your camera.

From the first email, the communication was clear and quick. All options are explained and Ronald was fantastic at altering the tour as we added more options. The price was clear and the breakdowns updated efficiently as we altered our plans. Payment is confirmed and receipted quickly and a detailed itinerary supplied. The van was spotless and very comfortable.

The gorilla and chimp trekking, well no words can really describe just how you have trekked into a national geographic episode. I felt that Kajie tours understand the magnitude of this specific tour and work hard to make sure it is special. Onesmus was an enthusiastic guide who made it a wonderful trip.

Fun Uganda Experience with Ronald!
5/5

We had a great time in Uganda with Ronald. He is easy to talk with and is overall a likeable guy. I felt like he genuinely wanted to make sure we had a good time and saw all of the animals/sights possible. I found the van comfortable with plenty of space. I especially appreciated the pop-up roof while driving around Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Our trip was “Budget” and we found the accommodations nice. We really liked the camping at Kibale and Queen Elizabeth. Overall the food was good, especially at the camping resorts.
We saw chimps, elephants, warthogs, hippos, lions, kobs, buffalo, gorillas, and more. The countryside is beautiful and Lake Bunyoni is amazing. We personally didn’t care much for the bigger cities, but our itinerary didn’t have us spending much time there so that was perfect.
Ronald went out of his way to help us with various things, like finding the best place to exchange money. We would recommend him to our friends and family who are looking for a personal and authentic Uganda experience!
