Alex is very professional, caring, offers interesting tours. Has a great sense of humor.
5/5

Alex is excellent on communicating about different types of safaris and the number of days, places to visit, places to stay that would fit into one’s budget. While on safaris or tours his staff is knowledgeable, friendly and willing to go the extra mile, eg. visiting “flea” markets.
Either Alex or one of his stall will meet you at the airport.

Trustworthy and experienced team who will go beyond limits to make your trip memorable
5/5

I visited Kenya (Masai mara and Nairobi) for 5 nights and 6 days with my family of 5 including my old parent in-laws and 2 year old daughter. This was my second booking with all time safari. He arranged my parent's first visit to Kenya last year.
Alex and his team are specialist of this region and they chalk out your itinerary by keeping in mind everything - age of family members, dietary requirements, whether you want to relax or move around a lot on your trip etc. From the moment of booking the tour to the moment we were dropped at the Kenya airport at the end of tour, all the arrangements were speckless. Paul (our driver and guide) went beyond his job definition to make sure we were safe, and comfortable in the entire trip. He closely understood our requirements and accordingly planned the day well ahead of the time. He was very considerate to my little daughter and made sure she was comfortable during long road journey from Nairobi to Mara. Even though we agreed on the price of the package, Alex extended another 10% discount to me which he got from hotels. I have traveled in more than 14 countries before but have never witnessed this kind of honesty and candidness from tour agents before.
Paul painstakingly took us around the park to make sure we could see all the big 5 animals. Alex accommodated my last minute request to book an extra night in Nairobi at a much lesser price than booking.com along with free breakfast.
the entire safari went exactly as per the itinerary drawn by Alex. thank you allseasonsafari team to make this a lifetime experience. We thank you your team and Kenyan people for the all the hospitality and the kindness. This is definitely a 5-star experience. With Alex and team you are in good hands- trust me!

A few words of caution
1/5

I am reproducing below my note to the Kenya Association of Tour Operators. Please review it before making a decision as to whether you should use All Seasons for your travel planning.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I write to you regarding my recent experience with All Seasons Safaris & Tours, and it’s owner Alex Thuku. I am not sure if I am reaching the correct office to report what I think of as patently unethical behavior. If I should be contacting an entirely different office kindly direct me to the correct one.

In the interest of brevity I will summarize the charge. I contacted All Seasons for travel arrangements to Uganda, and Tanzania back in June of 2018. Of the total estimate of $ 23,940 I made a deposit of $8,692 soon after. The trip was to commence in February 2019. The quote included all lodges, air travel in east Africa, park fees and guide services. In September I was informed that all bookings had been made and were confirmed. The balance of payments were made by late November 2018.

We arrived in Entebbe on February 5, 2019 and realized immediately that very few of the arrangements that had been promised and confirmed had been made. It set the local agent in Uganda (James Kateeba of Travellust) scrambling to just get us to our first destination. For the next twelve days we had to pursue Mr. Thuku on a daily basis. I have copied below my note to him on February 13th to give you a flavor of the dilemma we faced almost every day during our journey.

“Alex, though all of this messaging back and forth, you seem to miss an essential fact. You betrayed a customer trust by misappropriating his funds, and using them for personal needs. The funds were to be used to confirm, and pay all of our travel and stay in Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya. Instead, you used the funds elsewhere, scrambling to make our arrangements day by day, after we landed. We in turn have had ten days of constant anxiety as you were trying to stay just one day ahead of us, and finally could not even do that. To sum it up, you have ruined a long anticipated, and carefully planned vacation which cost us a significant amount of money. Your partners in Uganda and Tanzania, and I dealt with you as a man of integrity. You have proven to be anything but.”

In addition to Mr. Kateeba in Uganda, Mr. Omar Mshana of Tanzania Insideout Discovery, Patricia of Kibo Palace Hotel and Junia O’kubasu of Serena Nairobi were all similarly inconvenienced by Mr. Thuku’s almost cavalier approach to his obligation. Our trip finally reached a point where he no longer could pay for the services for which he had already received payment, months ahead of time. I ended up making duplicate payments for a number of hotels and airlines so that we could conclude the trip. I have a complete list of emails with Mr. Thuku, What’s App messages and bank transfer documents for every aspect of the charge I level here. Please advise me if I should forward them to your attention.

I am deeply disappointed in my experience with All Seasons. In addition to the substantial additional cost I incurred, and the trying days just to gain clarity on what exactly was happening around us, I was left with a sour taste in my use of a local tour operator. About three years ago (when I was conducting a workshop for senior executives for government and industry leaders in Nairobi), a senior executive strongly urged me to support and use local operators for my travel plans in east Africa. This experience certainly gives me pause. I would be much more cautious, in using or recommending that any of my family or friends do so.

I am displeased enough with the entire affair that I mean to do all I can to ensure that Mr. Thuku and All Seasons are held accountable for their inappropriate conduct. I would hate to see someone to have to go through the same experience. An equally disturbing aspect of our experience is that it casts a long shadow on local operators in Kenya, in general. I am not aware of which the correct regulatory (or self regulatory) agency is within which to formally lodge a complaint, and to look to recover the additional money I had to spend to duplicate what was already sent to Mr. Thuku. I would be grateful for any direction you can provide me.

Please also advise me if I should also drop a note to the Ministry of Travel and Wildlife. I am happy to do so.

Thank you for your attention to my complaint.

Honeymoon with All Seasons Safaris and Tours
5/5

Alex and All Seasons Safaris and Tours made sure that our honeymoon safari experience was comfortable, safe and exhilarating. The safari details were excellently planned which allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves during our 2 week safari tour. We were personally picked up by Alex and his colleagues at the airport, and I could tell from the start that he was very interested in making sure we had a positive experience. I would recommend All Seasons Safaris and Tours to any of my family or friends interested in a safari in Eastern Africa.

Wonderful safari with an excellent guide at an affordable price
5/5

We had the opportunity to take a safari with All Seasons Safaris and Tours in 2015. We had the most wonderful time (and in fact plan to go again with them in 2019!).

The customer service from that start was excellent - they were extremely communicative and flexible (and made recommendations) to ensure we had an itinerary that we really wanted! They also have very fair pricing.

We had Daniel as a driver/guide and he was excellent. He was very informative and friendly and great at spotting animals. He also was a good driver (important on these roads!).

The accommodations were excellent as well. I couldn't recommend All Seasons Safari enough!

amazing experience
5/5

One of the best things of All Seasons Safaris and Tours is the promp reply they have to any questions you may have while booking ,they are always ready to tailor the safari you are thinking of . The service they offer was better than I expected , although we arrived to Nairobi at 5 o'clok in the morning , somebody was there waiting for us , we were taken to Alex home to have a rest till the checking time in the hotel , also his wife give us a good breakfast , they are really nice . And while the safari , the drivers are very experted guys , they know a lot of wildlife and just to see wild animals without binoculars ,which is very amazing , they do the game ride as long as you want and always they are attentive to any wish you may have . To sum up if I come back to Kenya , no doubt I'll book with them againg .

Great safari but not valuable for money.
4/5

I like the Alex homestay , his wife is nice. My safari driver James is full of experience for animals. But I think the travel in Kenya is not valuable for money compare with other nations. Long time for animal safari made us a little bored.

Beyond our “wildest expectations “
5/5

All seasons Safaris and Tours surpassed our expectations for our safari and the help we needed to get from Tanzania to Kenya. We went to Africa to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro and wanted to do a safari on the front end. We only had 3 days to do this which meant we had to fly into Tanzania and go to Kenya. All Seasons arranged for two lovely people to pick us up from the Mt. Kilimanjaro airport and take us to the Kenya border so we could go to Ambosali National Park. Once we arrived at the border they sheparded us through customs seamlessly. Our guide that picked us up, Cyrus, was outstanding. He guided us through our safari with such grace and a knowledge of the wild kingdom that only those who have a deep passion for wild life could understand. He was able to spot animals from distances we couldn’t see with his high powered binoculars. He also blew our minds by knowing The name of every single bird we saw!!! It was unbelievable.
All Safari exceeded every expectation, were extremely reasonable and worth a serious consideration.
