Excellent service
I choose It started in Africa from here and all my comminication is via email. The comminication betwwen Joao is clear and I get what I pay for. They meet me in the airport. All the places that I visit were very nice and memorable. My guide Martin and cook Roman are very kind and professional. You can go to a safari without hesitation with It started in Africa.

Amazing Safari with It Started in Africa!!
We had an amazing Kenyan safari with ISIA back in October 2014, just got round to posting now! Patricia was very helpful in arranging the itinerary (and changing it many times as we requested!) and Alex was without a doubt one of the best tour guides and drivers we've ever come across on any tour, anywhere!
We would highly recommend the Rhino Lodge in Tsavo National Park, amazing place and we were lucky enough to spot a leopard! During the safari we also saw the falls in Thompson Park, the wildlife at Naivasha and Lake Nakuru plus Masai Mara, and spent several days at the beach in Mombasa. Thanks to Alex our tour guide we were able to get up close to lions, hyenas, rhinos, cheetahs, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and many more! Amazing safari all round, and looking forward to visiting again! Will definitely be booking through ISIA again - amazing value for money and no complaints! (On a general note, please ensure any US Dollars you carry when visiting Kenya are series 2000 or later, as the older ones were not always accepted for exchange we found). Game reserve Experience
We hired It Started in Africa for a game reserve experience for us and our daughter, just a couple of weeks ago.
We had a fantastic experience, with a good vehicle, knowledgeable driver and also some luck with the game drives as we saw the big5 multiple times.
They arranged the transport and the reservations. It all went off flawlessly! We highly recommend It Started in Africa as a travel agent and tour arranger!

2 days / 1 night in Amboseli
I have a great experience of safaris in East Africa but never visited Amboseli. Although it lacks the roughness and wilderness of the Serengeti or Masai Mara, it sure is one of the most scenic and beautiful national parks I've ever seen.
It Started in Africa provided us with a smooth experience. Guide was exactly how we imagined he would be and the wildlife was better than what we expected. My best pictures of Africa were taken during this tour.

I was very happy with the food and the quality of the equipment. It was nice that the staff came to see me before the trek and made sure I had all the necessary equipment. The Great Migration - A timeless safari experience with a full complement of African wilderness
My trip to Masai Mara with ‘ It Started In Africa’ was everything I expected of an Africa wilderness & much more. Never ending planes, rocky roads, the most stunning sun rise, flowing river filled with hippo & crocs & a land where animals & humans live in harmony with each other.
Masai Mara was a destination which was amongst the top ten destinations on my Bucket List. So there I went planning a trip & trying to get quotations for many local travel companies in Kenya. That’s when we came across ‘It Started In Africa’ who offered us the best packages & deals.
Particia from ‘ It Started In Africa’ was our only point of contact while I was planning the trip and she did a fabulous & commendable job. We were a group of 4 people & our plan was to visit Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara for 7 days trip & she planned our itinerary offering us amazing & comfortable stay in the lap of the nature & all in our budget.
Our guide, driver & a person with fabulous experience & knowledge Alex from the company was our companion from day 1 to day 7 and thanks to him that we witness all the drama of the Mara jungle – migratory heard of Zebras marching across the river while the hungry crocs were awaiting for their meal, a cheetah making a mad dash through the grassland attacking wildebeest or croc dramatically rising from the waters in the Mara river…. We also witnessed the Big 5 and amazing species of birds.
I could go on and on and on about our trip to the Masai Mara, and by writing this comment I just wanted to thank ‘It Started In Africa’ team, Patricia & Alex for an unforgettable experience. Keep up the fabulous work & marvellous client services. I would highly recommend ‘It Started In Africa’ for any safari trips to Africa.

I have traveled all over the world since young adult. With more than 60 countries in my curriculum, Africa was the continent I visited the less, spending most of my time in Asia and South America. It was time to visit Africa and do a safari in their most popular destination: The Masai Mara. I can only speak about my regret for not exploring Africa earlier. The people are amazing, the wildlife is just stunning, you have to go to know how it is, it is difficult to explain. It has absolutely nothing to do with a Zoo. here the animals run free and the circle of life can be experienced.
Our tour operator was It Started in Africa, chosen after careful consideration and analysis of reviews and forums. We're all happy with the choice as the logistics were smooth, the car (land cruiser!) was in great shape and never let us down and specially the guide, Kweka, provided one of the best experiences we could ever hoped for. Highly recommended!

The Safari was beyond words. The most important is commitment & it matters to every tourist. Day one the communication was fluent & transparent. If you travel as group then you have concurred as you have flexibility for everything but still its not mandatory. The team is very co-operative and homely. They took care to every possible extent.
