Game-changing experience
I have been many times in Africa with different tour operators in the last five years but discovering Around Africa Safaris was a game changer on the whole safari experience.

Discovering the pearl of Africa
Around Africa Safaris came recommended through a good friend, which thus also set our expectations very high. The booking process itself, which we handled entirely through email, went super smooth. Email queries are replied too, back the backoffice, almost at lightspeed.
After a long travel we landed at Entebbe international airport and our guide, Milton Saturday, was awaiting us with a welcoming nameplate. Milton drove us to the first hotel where he gave us an overview of what to expect the coming days. 11 days later the very same Milton, whom has been our guide for the entire holiday, also dropped us back at the aiport for our return journey. During these 11 days we simply had a fantastic time!!
Around Africa Safaris provided us an unforgettable Africa adventure. Their guides are knowledgeable, reliable and helpful. All is possible in Africa, and Milton Saturday in our case did walk the talk.
2 of the many examples I recall which underline their service:
On one of the bumpy drives our sparewheel-holder, at the back of the car, disconnected from the jeep. The spare wheel was quickly mounted on top of the car and dispite the car was still in perfect condition the office did send a replacement vehicle overnight, costing them many hours of driving.
A second example is where a bottle of local honey (a gift for those left at home) got stolen by baboons breaking in into our lodge. Milton arranged for us to get a new bottle of honey from a village close by.

Best Safaricompany with specialist knowledge
We had an amazing trip with Around Africa Safaris last year in summer. We saw everything: lions, leopards, gorillas and visited some great community projects. Our guide Michael was superb. He answered all questions and showed us everything we longed for. The communication before and preparation was really fast and on point. A very Professional Safari Company
We had an amazing Guide and Director (Mr. Okech) who did everything possible to make our safari memorable. We went to Uganda for the gorilla tracking. The guides on the gorilla tracking were so supportive. We saw so many gorillas and this brought some humor along the way. We stopped and looked at everything we wanted. We also visited the pygms and danced with them. We took some food to them.
The staff in the lodges we slept and visited were so kind and understanding.

Tailored to meet all our needs
Since our first contact for information via email, I was pleasantly impressed by Around Africa Safaris' prompt response, clarity of information, good value for money and eagerness to meet our needs. This is why we chose them over the other offers we received. It is always a gamble, but the tour turned out to be perfect -- from our first pick-up up to the very end. The driver was extremely polite and reliable, always available to respond to our queries and requests, very informative without being pedantic, friendly but never intrusive of inquisitive.
We really enjoyed the route taken, the scenery and all the animals we saw, and absolutely fell in love with the Katara Lodge recommended to us while doing the booking of the safari. Stunning location and accomodation. Had we known, we would have stayed an additional night!

I have been to African gameparks 60+ times over 30 years; the trip to Uganda was one of the best.
It was one of my best trips, not just because of gorilla tracking, but because the guide Jonah, who was with the four us for 21 days, is the best ever (and I have had some excellent ones) His knowledge of all things Ugandan is encyclopedic, but more importantly his skill in finding wild life is phenomenal. How he spotted distant lions up in tree branches was amazing. A wonderful gentleman. Arrangements made by the agent were excellent, first class accommodations, good food (including fried grasshoppers, BY REQUEST) and efficient transfers. Uganda does not have the game quantity of other parts of East and South Africa (after the Amin era depredations) but has representation of enough, plus gorillas, chimps, shoebills, Nile and mountain scenery, and is uncrowded.

A dream came true!
We had the time of our life. On our 18 day's tour we were in the good hands of our driver/guide Katembo who showed us the amazing wildlife (the big five). Everything was well organized: the lodges, the game drives, the visits, ... The driver/guide Katembo told us so many thinks about animals, birds, the people, the way of life, ..., we learned a lot
Uganda is verry beautifull with kindly and friendly people. We felt us welcome and safe.
