Best Family experience E V E R
5/5

We are a family of four that just returned from the African safari tour in South Africa, at Sabi Sands. Ernest was our guide and he was excellent and provided top-notch premium service. He fit in quite well with our two young adult children and the dynamics of our family jokes and jabs. Karen and Ernest did a seamless job of organizing the trip, took care of all of the arrangements for the accommodations, food and drives, so we had nothing to worry about than to just show up and start the adventure. Very stress free! They even created a big recognition for my son's 21st birthday, which was a big surprise for him. While out on the drives, Ernest was an expert pointing out wildlife and answering all kinds of questions about the habitat and animal characteristics. We learned so much because he was so, so knowledgeable on everything. His expertise with photography was such a fantastic bonus, as not only did he provide classes to us each day on how to use our (new and old) cameras (including editing in photoshop), but in the field he would recommend settings to accommodate the lighting, sun, clouds, etc. The connection they have built with the camps and drivers was awesome, as he was able to get them to position us in the best possible place for viewing and photographing and go where we wanted to go. Ernest speaks the language fluently, so was able to decipher the activity on the radio, pointing us to great viewing spots. We participated in both the luxury and the traditional lodge experiences, and we HIGHLY recommend splitting your trip into both, as it is different reservations, experiences, and different animals. Thanks to this excellent and professional company, we enjoyed probably the best case scenario of a safari trip, with seeing about 29 unique animals, which included the Big 5 in the first 2 days! We even saw rare sightings like the cougar. I don't think we left there lacking any sighting, as Ernest found our last request of giraffes (and a whole family, to boot), on the last day. He is very proactive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. This experience will likely be the highlight of my family for many years to come.

Fantastic
5/5

My dad and I went on a week-long trip to Kruger National Park and Sabi Sands with photography guide Ernest.

We had a fantastic time! Ernest was super organised, easy to get along with, and very knowledgeable about the area, photography, and the wildlife.

The structure and implementation of the trip enabled us to see a huge range of wildlife, get great photos, and do so in an easy manner.

Coming home was incredibly sad! The journey felt far longer than a week because we saw so much, yet it still didn't feel long enough because I wanted the joy to continue!

I will definitely reach out to Eagle Eye Safari when I plan my next safari in the future.

Incredible Experience!
5/5

We recently completed a Big 5 Traditional Camp safari with Eagle Eye. Karen and Ernest provide a top notch experience. They are not only expert travel guides who will help you with all the aspects of planning your trip, they are also both very talented and knowledgeable photographers who are eager to help others learn. As someone who is very much a beginner, they taught me the basics of using my camera and helped me capture photos I didn’t think were possible. They are also skilled at balancing the different experience levels in the group so that everyone- whether a seasoned professional or a novice-can capture the photos they want. If you are not into photography and just want to experience an amazing safari, they can make that happen, too!

We wholeheartedly enjoyed our trip with Eagle Eye and look forward to booking with them again.

Superb Safari Experience!
5/5

I am currently writing this review in the airport after having spent an incredible week in Kenya with Eagle Eye Safaris (because I'm in denial that the trip is over).

This was my first time on safari, and I truly had no idea what to expect on this adventure of a lifetime.

Karen and Ernest were remarkable in showing us around Kenya and especially taking us to the Great Migration of Wildebeest on the Massi Mara. They were able to get us INCREDIBLE viewing spots to watch the migration and really ensured that we had the best experience possible.

Over the course of our five-day safari, we were able to see multiple lions, hyena, giraffe, elephants, many different kinds of birds, crocodiles, impalas, leopards, buffalo, and so much more. Honestly, I had no idea that we would be able to see even a few of those animals let alone all of the big five. And their knowledge of animals was astounding. They had an answer for almost every question we had and if they didn’t know, they quickly found the answer for us.

The other bonus was the photography! Ernest and Karen are terrific photographers, and even though I am no photographer myself, they were able to give me tips and tricks for my iPhone to take better shots. My father, along with some others on the trip, were practicing using their professional cameras, and I was very impressed with the expertise and information that was given to our group to improve their photography...it made me want to bring a professional camera for the next safari!

The safari lodges that we stayed in were fantastic...the Lake Nakuru lodge and Pride Inn...I felt very taken care of...and especially after a long day of being on a game drive, there is nothing better than coming back to a comfortable place to stay. And great food as well!

The dynamic of the group was terrific...everyone got along so well and Karen and Ernest really took their time to get to know us all and spend time with us, sharing their knowledge and experiences of Africa as well as listening to our own stories.
This was absolutely a trip I will never forget and I am so glad that we were able to experience this with Eagle Eye Safaris. Not only did we make new memories, but we made new friends

Bucket List Jordan and Egypt trips!
5/5

Eagle Eye Safaris plans an absolutely incredible travel experience. I had the amazing opportunity to join them on back to back trips to Jordan AND Egypt (highly recommend combining the two)!!!

Jordan was an amazing experience seeing Petra, Wadi Rum, The Dead Sea, and Wadi Mujib. We were accompanied by Eagle Eye Safaris owner Karen, and their local Jordan guide, Ramzi. They provide an incredible experience meeting locals, seeing the beautiful landscape and sights, and camels for days! Have you ever drank camel milk!? Neither had I, but they made it happen! They even arranged special lunches and experiences with natives who made us amazing meals! We ended our Jordan trip by jumping on a plane to Cairo to start our next adventure in Egypt!

Egypt was an incredible experience organized by Eagle Eye Safaris. We were joined by Eagle Eye owner’s Karen and Ernest, who make everything run smoothly and were able to provide camera tips and tricks for beginners and advanced photographers. They’ll even arrange special time to teach you photography courses in your down time. The local Egypt guides Eman and Marwa were absolutely incredible. Eman is a hilarious firecracker of a person! She is a wealth of knowledge and can tell you everything you could ever want to know about Egypt. She was an absolute delight to have guide us around this incredible country and to share her knowledge about the history!

This was my second trip with Eagle Eye Safari’s (technically second and third with the Jordan and Egypt combined trips). My first was the Luxury Big 5 Safari in 2019, another incredible experience which inspired me to continue using Eagle Eye Safari’s for my future world travel. I look forward to more trips with them in the future! 10/10 recommend!!!

Great day birding with Eagle Eye
5/5

I booked a tour with Eagle Eye Safaris to do a full-day of birding around Joburg in September 2019. My guide was Ernest Porter, who is a partner of the company. He brought me to two parks that had different kinds of habitat so that I could see a wide range of bird species. Not only is Ernest knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife, he is a fun guy to be with.

Although Ernest is an accomplished photographer, he did not even bring his own camera on the trip as he focused purely on spotting birds for me. That's what I called excellent customer-centric service! This tour was definitely one of the highlights of my recent visit to South Africa.

Day Trip from Johannesburg, plus reviews from other friends that have used Eagle Eye Safaris. I
5/5

I went on a Day Trip to the Lion and Rhino Nature Reserve out of Johannesburg with Ernest. Used Eagle Eye at the suggestion of a few friends of mine that used them for Real Safaris. They said that the safaris they went on were the Best they ever did because of the fantastic photos they were able to get and Karen and Ernest’s professionalism.
On my day trip, Ernest was great at finding the perfect place to get a great photo and was extremely knowledgeable about photography.
I only did the Day Trip because I had an extra day in JNB before meeting friends in Victoria Falls for a week.
I’ll definitely be going on a Real Safari with Eagle Eye when I get back to Africa.

An incredible experience!
5/5

My mom and I travelled with Eagle Eye Safaris to South Africa, Rwanda and Uganda. What an incredible experience! I got some absolutely amazing wildlife shots and a better understanding of my camera. We even did an impromptu night time Milky Way shoot. Karen and Ernest took care great care of us and had some nice suggestions on how to spend the couple of days we were on our own in Johannesburg.

The trip of a lifetime!
5/5

I travelled to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve in June of 2019 with a group of friends. While there, we did our safari through Eagle Eye Safaris. Everything about this trip far exceeded my expectations (and I had high expectations to begin with)! The accommodations were lovely and the staff was outstanding! The food was delicious and plentiful! And Karen and Ernest were not only fun and easy-going, but they did an excellent job in all aspects of our safari. We got to see so many amazing animals in an absolutely beautiful setting, all while being given expert advise on how to capture the perfect shot! I simply can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was! It truly was the trip of a lifetime!

Great trip of a lifetime
5/5

I had a most wonderful time on safari. Karen and Ernest took care of so many details for my arrival and the entire 5 day safari experience was just great, at Pungwe Bush Camp in Manyelete Reserve. The lodging is "tents" but we called it Glamping, with tile floors, thatch roofs, and built full bathrooms and porches. Thanks Karen and Ernest! I don't know what I can add to the other wonderful reviews without just being repetitious, I agree with all of them!
