Very well organised
5/5

We recently booked the 10 day Kenya and Tanzania tour with Economic Adventure Safaris and had a really wonderful time.

Booking the tour: Josephine Mwikali was very prompt in organising the tour for us. She was very accommodating even when we requested change of dates or had to add extra members to the tour on short notice. She always responded very fast to all our messages and even checked on us multiple times during the tour to make sure that everything was going well.

Tour itself: It was very well organised right from the start and we did not face any difficulties. We were picked up from the airport and taken to the hotel on the day of arrival in Nairobi. Next day we were taken to the office to make the payment and to start the tour. We never had to wait or wonder about the next step in the tour as we were always informed about what was coming next and how to prepare for it.

Kenya: For this part we had Joffery as our tour guide who drove us from Nairobi to Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli National Parks. He was very patient with us and made pit-stops when we needed something like a SIM card or an ATM. Joffery is an excellent driver and knew how to navigate difficult and muddy roads with ease. He constantly kept himself updated with various animal sightings by other people via radio and drove us around skill-fully so that we did not miss anything. He finally dropped us off at the border of Tanzania and made sure we were well taken care of before leaving us there. We saw a lot of lions, elephants, white rhino, buffalo, zebras, hyenas and antelopes during the tour.

Tanzania: Although we did basic camping in Serengeti and Ngororngoro, we had our personal cook Daniel with us for those days, who prepared amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner for us. After realising out special dietary needs, he improvised to come up with many different types of delicious dishes during our stay.

Our guide Abdul has many years of experience and a keen eye for spotting animals that one would normally miss. He knew automatically where to find the animals in the large african Savanna and we even managed to see the elusive leopard and the black Rhino. He also shared with us his vast knowledge of the animals with many fun facts and stories about the animals.

It was overall a great trip with very little negative aspects. As it says in the name itself, its economic tour, so luxury can´t be expected. Some of the campsites in Kenya had power issues and wifi (if available) only limited for a few hours in the evening. Also hot water is not always available. But if you come prepared for it, you can truly expect an amazing adventure.

Amazing journey in East Africa!
5/5

I found the agency on the net a year ago. From the very beginning, Steve got in touch with us and kept in touch till we got there. We were impressed by his kindness and how well organized the trip was. Of course, you have to be prepared to sleep in budget hotels and campgrounds. The drivers, the guides were all so nice. We had a wonderful time. We booked the 10 day safari and stayed in Zanzibar for the rest of our trip. I still can’t believe the great deal we had!Thank you soooooo much for everything.

Too many changes in places and campsites.
3/5

I booked a 14 days safari and the day of the payment I was told that I may have to change to a different group but still I would do my plan. Changing groups became very inconvinient because when you change group on a daily basis tobody counts on you the day before to make decisions regarding wake up time or optional visits but I couldn´t complain about it. My complains during the trip came when they wanted to change my plan. At the office while I finished paying the 1950 dollars they told me that I would do that plan even if there was no group. That was a untruth, everytime they didn´t have a full van (9 people of which three wouldn´t have a window to see animals) they tried to put me in groups that didn´t go where I was supposed to be going. I complained strongly twice and stopped them from changing my plan but in three ocasions not even complaining I could stop it. They removed a game drive from my plan in Masai Mara, they didn´t give me chance to go to Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania and there was a night in which they changed my campsite (coincidentally the camp changes were always towards ones of worse quality). All in all I enjoyed the trip because nature is impresive, I saw the big five and many beautiful nature scenes and the people that I met were amazing. If you are thinking about booking make sure they can fullfill their commitments, sometimes if they bring you to a different place, even if they promise you´ll do all the parks contracted it may be not worth it because they drove you too far away to go back.
