Great Trip!
5/5

We had a great trip with Earthlife and I will recommend to friends.

I enjoyed working with Angel during the planning. She gave us excellent advice about the trip and responded quickly to all my questions.

Our guide, Joseph, was really fun and knowledgeable on almost any subject. Never a dull moment. He spotted lots of birds for us and, let's face it, if you spot birds it's pretty easy to see lions.

I'm so glad that we visited Tanzania. I will never forget it.

Many a time during our seven days on the road that I said “This is worth every cent!” Though not eve
5/5

Though not even a big animal fan, from beginning to end of our 7 days safari I was fascinated, excited, enthralled and said “This is the best money spent!” The Serengeti is a dream and having Gilbert as guide to show us the wonders, we’ll, how lucky we were. He is experienced, accomplished, competent—-you won’t be disappointed!
Alll things considered I highly recommend Earth Life. ^^^^^

PS — FYI, Google indicates a daily guide tip rates which the day before travel Earthlife will suggest as double!
Plan that and your cash accordingly

Earthlife made our trip of a lifetime one we will never forget.
5/5

We booked our trip after much research and a desire to travel with a tour company located in Tanzania. We choose Earthlife based on all the positive reviews and comments. They did not disappoint and in fact far exceeded our expectations. Angel made the whole booking process stress free. She kept in constant communication with us and answered everyone of questions promptly. She worked with us in designing out 12 day trip and allowing us to see not only see Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Natrona, Ngorongoro crater, North and Central Serengeti but also flying us down to spend two wonderous days in Ruaha.

I can't say that we were not a little nervous about getting into Kilamangaro at 4AM local time and what to expect as far as pickup and transportation but as throughout our trip the arrangements all went off without a hitch. Our guide, Jeff was waiting for us and made us feel immediately welcome and comfortable. I can not say enough good things about Jeff. Not only extremely knowledgeable about all the wildlife we would see but also the fauna, geology, history and the local culture. His personality was just so pleasant throughout the whole trip that by the end we felt like friends for a lifetime. Asante sana Jeff - I thank you for answering all million questions my wife had and indulging her efforts to not only get every photo of every animal species but also all 400 bird species. We will remember you forever and hope to see you again on our next trip!

Our trip started out in Tarangire National park and wound its way thru Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater, Lake Natron and 4 days in Serengeti. All of the accommodations were wonderful and welcoming after 8-12 hrs on the road each day for game drives. The staff at each location we stayed were all professional and extremely attentive. I have no complaints on the food - I think I gained 5 lbs! So many people to thank for making our trip the amazing adventure . Special thank you to Yoyo and here staff at Mugbani Camp in central serengeti for the wonderfull impromptu birthday song for my wife during our stay there. During our trip here, one of truly the highlights for us was our guide Jeff stopping along the road one morning to meet a local family that with no warning just welcomed us and allowed us to join them for the morning breakfast porridge, which my wife got to help prepare.

We did learn that to truly experience our trip we needed to practice patience as Jeff would tell us. Stopping and watching, for sometimes hours at a time allowed us to not only just see the amazing wildlife but to get an education on behavior, experience the sounds and truly enjoy the pure magic of this amazing land. Jeff was as we like to say now not Super b but Super A+.

The last two days of our trip were spent in southern Tanzania, in Ruaha National Park. This was a late add on to our trip but we are so happy that we did this. Were the Serengeti and north has more tourist exposure and feel where you would routinely come across other people, Ruaha was so much more remote and wild where for many hours we would not see another traveler. Truly alone with nature. We would be remiss in not recognizing the wonderfull Mdonya Old River camp and our guides Jumanne and Dennis. As everywhere we went - truly professional, knowledgeable and curteous during our visit. We especially enjoyed our Camp elephant though I am not sure that Kings and Iris did with its daily mischief - especially its desire to pull on the shower heads to get a drink! The outdoor, moon and starlight dinners were amazing.

We can not say enough for Earthlife Expeditions for helping make my wife's 50th birthday trip the memory of a lifetime.

Trip of a lifetime!
5/5

We had the pleasure to book our safari with earthlife expeditions for our honeymoon. Our trip was customized to our needs by Angel. She was so quick to respond and made sure everything met our expectations. Arriving in Tanzania we met Joseph, he is THE BEST. We had such a fantastic time. Joseph is very knowledgeable and made sure we were always comfortable. All our accommodations were beautiful. We arrived in Kilimanjaro, drove to Arusha and started our safari the next day with Tarangire National park. We then did a day and night game drive in Lake Manyara, followed by 3 days in the Serengeti, then finally the Ngorongoro crater. We ended our trip in Zanzibar (Nungwi - beautiful beaches). We can't thank earthlife enough for making this trip so memorable. We are planning to be back in Tanzania and will definitely book with them again!

Earthlife is fabulous
5/5

The Earthlife Expeditions African safari in Tanzania led by our remarkable guide/driver Daniel Balela was a life changing experience for me. It gave me a whole new perspective on my life in the larger scheme of nature—we are all unique, but related.
I gazed at animals in awe. They hardly noticed me. I felt like I was in a big zoo, only it was me in the cage/Jeep, out of my element, yet safe, in the animals’ world of nature. Humbling. A truly spiritual experience.
Thank you Earthlife for flawless logistics.
Thank you Daniel for helping me see the wonder and beauty of nature and my tiny, insignificant place in it. You are amazing.

Outstanding! An unforgettable trip!
5/5

The custom 11-day safari arranged by Earthlife Expeditons was an indescribably wonderful adventure. Our personable and knowledgeable driver/guide, Daniel Ballela opened our eyes to see not only the exotic and magnificent animals of Tanzania but also to glimpse amazing aspects of animal behavior in protected natural habitats. Daniel could sense where we could find not only lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, and cape buffaloes but also provided us with a close encounter with a rare black rhino!
All details of the trip were superbly handled by Earthlife Expeditons from the bookings to the accommodations to the route through the Ngorongoro Conversation Area to the North and Central Serengeti. We particularly enjoyed the excursions guided by local villagers and rangers to get a close up view of daily life there. Esau was very informative in Mtowambu.
I highly recommend Earthlife Expeditons and Daniel Belela. This trip was not on my “bucket list,” but it should have been! I am so glad we chose to go with Earthlife and Daniel.

Very comfortable and well organized which made us fall into the experience of the Serengeti with won
5/5

Jambo - Have to say that our trip to Tanzania far exceeded any pictures or stories about the Serengeti, Lake Manyara, or the Ngorongoro Crater I had before our 11-day visit. A major part of the beauty of the trip was due to the organization of Earthlife Expeditions and having Daniel Balela as our guide. I left with lots of pictures but most of all, memories of the stories Daniel Balela told about the animals and culture as we toured the areas. A visit to Mosquito to River Village provided insight into village life and it’s people, especially the children.

I highly recommend Earthlife Expeditions and suggest everyone travel with Daniel Balela Barabojick.
Asanti mjomba Balela.

Excellent custom 11 day trip
5/5

I would highly recommend anyone considering a trip to Africa (Tanzania) to use Earthlife Expeditions as their provider. Every day we wondered what might be better than the previous - only to find out that we were amazed by the next day. By custom we mean we choose not only the 4 national parks (including the Ngorongoro Crater) but also several special trips such as a hike along the rim, night drive, to several cultural exposers like a walking trip through Mosquito River Village and a Maisi village. All seamlessly handled by Earthlife. But the single item that "made" the trip for all 6 of our group was the terrific guide/driver Daniel Balela. His knowledge of plants, animals, birds, and animal behavior was amazing. And his ability to convey that to us in his non-native language (English) was superb. What a great story teller! His communications skills are excellent mainly because he is a great listener - tailoring each day to what he heard we were interested in and responding to our questions.
I don't know what we would leave out if one opted for a shorter trip. That would be difficult. Staying in tents for 6 nights was fun, convenient, much nicer that expected, and probably saved a lot of money. I think flying around to different countries or even locations within Tanzania would be much more expensive, troublesome, and waste time. I believe Tanzania is the epicenter for all the unique African animals and birds.

Thank you Earthlife Expeditions and a huge thank you to our guide-Daniel (Balela)
We like to travel and comparing this adventure with others----it was outstanding!!!
It was more than we anticipated. It opened my eyes and gave me a new awareness to nature and humankind. The excitement and thrill of seeing black rhino, cape buffalo, cheetahs, leopards, and lions(to name a few) changed my perspective on life. This was accomplished by our guide. Daniel's knowledge, eagle eye, guidance, communication, kindness, and listening skills led us to our successful trip

Amazing African Safari
5/5

If you have ever considered going on a Safari, be sure to go with Earthlife Expeditions and ask for Daniel Balela as your guide. We toured Tanzania flying into Arusha. We stayed in 3 beautiful lodges and 3 great tent lodges. The service was amazing as well as great food. More importantly, Daniel showed us every animal imaginable including a close up encounter with the endangered Black Rhino. His knowledge of the animals, birds, plants and people helped to educate us and enhanced the trip so much.

This was a trip of a lifetime and was better than expected. We were able to bring home amazing close up pictures and wonderful memories. Thank you Earthlife Expeditions and Daniel for making this possible.
