Best trip ever!
5/5

I can honestly say that this was the trip of a life time. I have travelled all over the world and done and seen some amazing things, but this was so different. The luxury tented lodges were outstanding with attention to detail that is rarely seen. For instance we had our beds warmed up with hot water bottles which was a really nice and thoughtful touch. Our Lion King adventures safari guide, Good Luck, was helpful, polite, unbelievably knowledgeable, flexible, funny, and just very easy to get along with. He adjusted our schedule to suit our needs keeping in ind that we wanted to see as many animals as possible, while stil, taking some time to relax! He was simply the Best! The food during our trip was also extraordinary. Everything was just perfect! We loved every minute!!

We had a fantastic 5 days safari booked with Lion King Adventures and everything worked out perfect!
5/5

Booking with Lion King Adventures went very smothly and they lived up to our expectations al the way. All the accommodations also lived up to their standards, very clean, good food and friendly.
My favorite was Serengeti and the Heritage tent camp, with it's view.
Our safari guide Gilbert did his very best to get close and did not give up before we had spoted all the animals to see : ) Gilbert made us also feel safe during the way.

Best Safari Experience
5/5

From the Start Lion King Adventures showed their high standard by answering fast and accurate on all email communication. We choose a 6 days Mid-range safari covering Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Manyara. All accommodations from lodges to tented camps were very good, sometimes better than we expected. As we were 5 persons we had a jeep to ourselves. Our driver/guide Gilbert did his utmost to give us the safari experience of our life, being extremely good on spotting animals and knowing where to go in the parks. He took us safely between the parks, and did not take any unnecessary risks in the traffic, as we saw other drivers do. He was always very correct and easy to be around. Thank you Gilbert! The best park was Serengeti! We found ourselves in the middle of the migration which was a big bonus and we saw the big five and many, many Lions, one big experience was a cheetah jumping up on our car, talk about close encounter. We had high expectations when choosing this Safari, Lion King delivered all the way, I can really recommend Lion King Adventures!

Adventure of a lifetime
5/5

We loved our driver, saw all the animals we came to Africa to see, and had the most memorable experience. Our driver was very knowledgeable about the zoology of all the animals and the history of the Serengeti. The only thing I would have changed about our trip is signing up for a 5 or 6 day safari versus the full 8 day safari. We saw 80% of what we wanted to see on the very first day, so 8 days wasn't necessary.

Awesome Experience
5/5

We really enjoyed our experience with Lion King Adventures! Our guide was accommodating, knowledgeable on the plants and animals that we saw, and was friendly. He helped to make our experience so great.

The communication was awesome. From the time we booked the safari, to before and after we arrived, everything was clear and they were easy to work with and reach out to.

I couldn’t recommend Lion King more. 10/10!

Lion King provided an excellent trip!
5/5

Our safari with Lion King in northern Tanzania was excellent!
We loved the people and the incredible Serengeti and Tanzanian scenery, and most of all, the animals.  Lions! and elephants! and giraffes! and hippos! and water buffalo!  The ever present tail-wagging gazelles, zebras, baboons, monkeys, crocodiles.  Amazing birds.  The wildebeest migration.  Holy cow!
Our Lion King guide, Salehe Kimosa, was both professional and very entertaining, and personable.  He knew where to find all the animals, and brought us as close as could be without disturbing them.  He also was a wealth of  regional information, and his english was excellent.
Our chef, Karim, prepared great meals, both Tanzanian and western, every day.

Also,  maybe less noticeable, but very, very important, the logistics provided by the Lion King staff were impeccable.  Arranging for airport pickup,  all transfers prepaid, all park fees taken care of. The hotels were quite good.
This was a great trip, and we can't praise Lion King enough.

Fantastic Safari Honeymoon Adventure
5/5

We had a fabulous honeymoon safari with Lion King Adventures. From the personal visit from the company owner on the first day to the hospitality of our excellent guide Goodluck (who lived up to his name), our trip couldn't have been better. The hotels chosen for us were amazing, going to sleep in a luxury tent to the sound of lions roaring and being woken up to elephants really gave you the feel of being in nature. Goodluck made the trip, he made sure we saw everything we wanted, even driving an hour to see a leopard up close because we hadn't seen one yet, and yes we saw the big five, even the Rhino. We would recommend Lion King to everyone.

Absolutely Amazing !!! Well beyond all expectations
5/5

The service was excellent. The safari was beyond our expectations. We loved it.
All email exchanges were with Pendo, she was very professional and made suggestions that we appreciated given it was our first safari.
We had been volunteering at a school/orphanage for 2 weeks and decided to end our Tanzania visit with a safari. We crammed 4 national parks in 4 days. David, our guide, spoke very good English and Spanish. As we are bilingual we found this a bonus as we could communicate on both languages. He was an excellent guide and we managed to see all Big 5. He was very knowledgeable in naming all the animals we saw, even the birds.
We decided to book a private tour which we highly recommend as we had lots of luggage and the jeep was all to ourselves and we could stop for longer time in one spot. The car was very comfortable with charging points for our cameras and devices. There was no WiFi onboard but that was soon remedied when the driver took us to a kiosk prior to our safari to purchase a SIM card for my phone which turned out really cheap.
The lodges where we stayed were beautiful with very friendly staff and they prepared really good packed lunches for us.
Overall a great experience and would highly recommend Lion King Adventures to anyone.

Outstanding 9-day Safari with Excellent Guide and Cook
5/5

My daughter and I just completed a fantastic 9-day safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks. We chose Lion King because, among the 5 tour operators we contacted, Lion King was the one which was most responsive to our interests and budget and consistently responded to us more quickly and fully than the other companies.

However, what made our safari so spectacular were the individuals who accompanied us: our driver & guide, Mwita, and our chef, Alute.

Mwita, the son of a Serengeti park ranger, was born and raised in Serengeti and has been guiding safaris for ten years. As a result, he has an uncanny ability to spot animals and anticipate opportunities to see them in action. When all the vehicles in the park seemed to be going in one direction, Mwita often took us in another. As a result, we often saw nature in action-- many times all by ourselves.

For example, thanks to Mwita, we watched a leopard descend from a tree, stalk and kill a gazelle and drag it back up into the tree for a leisurely meal; three lionesses hunt together to corner and kill a warthog; two lions mating, while a third stood guard; a crocodile grab a wildebeest from a riverbank and drag it into the water for a community feast by some 25 or more waiting crocodiles; a cheetah dining on fresh gazelle, as vultures waited their turn and then were frightened away by two hyenas, which bolted into their midst and then ran off with the carcass. Mwita also saw to it that we were in the right place at the right time to see black rhinos in Ngorongoro Crater on a day when very few other visitors did. He also adjusted our program on the fly to make sure we saw the animals and habitats we most wanted to see. His instincts, judgement and suggestions were spot on!

Our chef, Alute, who cooked for us for five nights (four nights we camped out in Serengeti and an additional night at a tented lodge near Lake Manyara), also did a magnificent job. Our breakfasts and dinners were tasty, wholesome and varied, and they appealed to me (a vegetarian) and my daughter (an omnivore). The lunch boxes that Alute packed for us were much better than those we received at various tented lodges where we stayed. Given that there are no fresh provisions in Serengeti, and I still marvel at how Alute managed to give us such great breakfasts, dinners and lunch boxes five days in a row. He even turned out a delicious quiche and perfect loaves of bread baked in a metal box nestled among the embers of a charcoal fire. Impressive!

All in all, thanks to Lion King's organization and gear (sturdy tent, comfortable jeep, lots of bottled water, and the extra pair of binoculars we requested, etc. ) and Mwita and Alute's outstanding skills and enjoyable company, our safari far exceeded our expectations. If you are going on Safari to Serengeti and neighboring parks, I highly recommend choosing Lion King and requesting Mwita as your driver/guide and Alute as your chef. Safari njema! (Have a great safari!)
