FAB! Fab! Fab! I’m very happy to recommend Mufasa unreservedly. Professional, considerate, kind.
5/5

This tour came in US$1000 cheaper than a competitor. I was a little apprehensive as to what my experience would be especially as a single woman travelling by myself. Absolutely no need to have been. Joseph was always contactable, immediate in any communication and really insightful. Always ahead of the game! Efficient, assuring and a perfect joy to deal with. Tony, my guide remained with me throughout. He was the best! Look no further!

Two days in Tsavo East
5/5

I was with my wife and two children on two days safari in Tsavo East. Our tour guide was Badru. He knows a lot about the park and the animals and we saw beautiful sceneries and animals (for example elephants, jackals, foxes, lions, ostriches).
The VOI lodge was also great place with amazing view to the park and services.
So we were fully satisfied, as we had opportunity to enjoy the peace and beauty of Tsavo East park.

Amazing 4 day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru tour
5/5

We had the most amazing safari from start to finish. I just can't put into words what a fantastic experience it was. Our booking process with Dorcus was easy and she answered all of our questions. Our guide and driver was Joseph and we could not have asked for a better guide! He showed us all sorts of sights on the way to the Masai Mara the first day and told us all about the history and culture of the area. The accommodations were great - we stayed the first 2 nights just outside the park at the AA Lodge. The real highlight was the game drives. Joseph told us the first night when we entered the park that we would see the "big five" and in 2 days we saw them all! He was constantly searching and chatting with other guides and on the phone and radio to get us all the best viewings. It was astonishing how close we got to the animals and everything we saw. We also did the hot air balloon add on which was not to be missed! On our way out of the Masai Mara we stopped at a Masai village which was a short trip where we got to see the native culture and dancing and super high jumping! We asked lots of questions and picked up some handmade souvenirs. After leaving the Masai Mara we did a stopover to go on a boat in a lake full of hippos and every kind of bird (amazing) and then to Lake Nakuru. We stayed at Eagle Palace which was a fantastic hotel and then the next day for another game drive at Lake Nakuru. We stayed a little late just so we could get the perfect picture of white rhinos. I would list all of the different types of animals we saw but that would take pages. All I can say is if you're looking for a safari this is the company, incredibly professional, great experience and we'd seen more animals than people we'd met who had been there days longer.

Amazing 3 day tour of Amboseli
5/5

We had an incredible 3 days safari with Mufasa Tours and Travels in Amboseli. Lewis was incredibly efficient and made the booking process very easy. Our guide Kephar was incredible friendly and knowledgeable. His natural wit made the safari days lots of fun. Over the trip we felt that he went out of his way to ensure that we could see the most animals possible, whilst taking into account our preferences and what we had already seen. All in all a very good end to end service with comfortable accommodation and good food even at the most budget level. Would definitely recommend!

We loved our Safari with Mufasa!
5/5

We had a more than wonderful time on our safari with Mufasa. When I initially started looking to plan a safari, I reached out to multiple different safari companies. A Mufasa rep responded quickly and sent options at different price points. Mufasa let me pull a couple things from the different price points to work with my budget to create a plan that worked for me.
For the first half of the safari we were visiting the Masai Mara and had a driver named Samuel, we called him Sam. Sam was so friendly and welcoming. He took us all over the Masai Mara and was able to show us 4 of the big 5. We were able to see 11 cheetahs, 5 lions, 1 leopard, 3 rhinos, and tons of giraffes, elephants, birds, etc. The drive from Nairobi to the Masai Mara and back is very long, but Sam made it very enjoyable. By the end of the trip we were singing in the car together. Sam’s English was great, he also spoke Spanish perfectly too. He was very knowledgeable on all the animals and was able to answer all our questions.
The second half of the trip we visited Lake Nakuru and Amboseli with a guide named Charles. Charles was very friendly and knowledgeable of all the animals as well. We were able to see the rhinos which completed the big 5 for us. Charles took us all over and was very patient with us and our many questions. He was very knowledgeable about all the animals and changing terrains. Charles took us out on the last day to see the sunrise in Amboseli which was amazing with Mount Kilimanjaro.
All the lodges and parks were beautiful. We used a land rover for half the trip and a safari van the other half to save money. Both were great for viewing the animals. The different parks and reserves were all so beautiful. My husband and I were more than pleased with how easy and carefree the planning was using Mufasa. We have no complaints. Everything went as planned. My husband and I have traveled a good bit, but this trip was one of the best we have ever done.
Do not miss out on the hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara if you can afford it. It was like nothing I have ever experienced. The visit to the village of the Masai Tribe was also very interesting and moving- if you can this is an amazing experience as well.

The 4-day journey into the wildlife of Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru
5/5

We went on a 4-day safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru with Peter from Mufasa tours and travels.
Whatever questions we had about the animals, traditions or anything else - our guide and driver Peter was able to answer! Also Peter was very helpful to his colleagues that had troubles on the road (not all of them are as good drivers as Peter :) ) and was respectful to animals.
He has huge experience in safaris and it looks like he knows everybody and also knows all animal's favorite places.
Joseph, the contact from the Mufasa, answered all our questions before the safari and helped us a lot!
It was the journey that we will never forget!
Thank you guys!

Mufasa Tour 3 days Safari
5/5

Me and my girlfriend went for a safari in Maasai Mara in February 2020 with Mufasa Tour. We managed to are all the big five!!! Our driver,Anthony, was Always ready to follow the animals in a way that is.not.too much aggressive for them but at the same time cool for us. A smart guy and teach us how ti behave in the savana. We were the ones that spotted the rihno, follow him and than the driver gave the position to the other Cars using the radio. We did 1 and half day, from 16 to 19 the First day and from 6.30 to 16.00 the second One. If you really want to.enjoy the park I suggest you to agreed on the timing in advance ...but for us was perfect! Kirkrok lodge Is the oldes inside the park, luxury but not eccessive . The buffet was delicius and the appartment surrounded by nature. There Is a lake with Hippo and other Animals so that s why you have to be scorted during the night. Super safe!
It Is n Amazing expirience that wveryone once in a Life should do!
Don t think twice and book It now!

A hassle-free, flexible safari trip that delivered on all fronts.
5/5

My partner and I booked with Mufasa after seeing that they did the Nairobi to Mombasa trip over three days which worked out perfectly for our itinerary. From the first email I sent, Joseph's replies were polite, punctual and professional. He happily answered all of our questions and kept us in the loop regarding all stages of our trip. We were pleasantly surprised on several fronts - firstly, that we wouldn't be travelling as part of a group and had the van and guide all to ourselves and secondly that we would be collected from our AirBnB in Nairobi and taken right to the doorstep of our accommodation in Diani. Joe, our safari guide was knowledgable, polite and we really felt like he wanted us to see as much as possible over the three days - even suggesting an earlier start on the last day when we had yet to see a lion (which we then spotted within the hour!). Overall, we had some natural worries before booking the tour which were all summarily dispelled by excellent customer service and a flexible attitude to our other arrangements. Top stuff!

Enjoyable safari with friendly, thoughtful driver/guide!
5/5

From the first enquiry, Joseph was always very prompt to reply to email queries and kept us well informed. Nelson, our driver/guide, maintained his Toyota Hi-Ace 4WD pop-top safari vehicle in good order and proved to be a competent, safe driver, both on-road and off-road. Nelson was also very resourceful: due to an oversight, my wife and I had left our passports in Nairobi which might have meant being refused admission to the Masai Mara game park because we were unable to prove our identity. However, Nelson was able to provide the authorities with a plausible excuse for the absence of our passports and we were granted a 24 hour entry pass to the game park! We did a short game drive on the afternoon of our arrival and a full day's drive the following day. We were lucky with the weather which was warm and dry and we saw lots of wildlife, including lions and lionesses. The dirt tracks in the game reserve make for quite a rough, tiring ride, so we appreciated the luxury of the Sopa lodge at the end of each day. However, the approach road to the lodge was probably worse than any in the park and it took 15 - 20 minutes to cover the short distance between the entrance gate to the park and the lodge. On the return journey to Nairobi, a lorry with a broken axle rendered a bridge impassable so that the safari vehicles had to ford the river it crossed. One vehicle had failed to ford the river and had to be towed out, losing its front 'bull bars' in the process. Nelson had no trouble fording the river and, in the spirit of mutual assistance between safari drivers, we ended up taking the severed bull bars from the other vehicle to a meeting point on the road to Nairobi. Nelson got us safely back to Nairobi to round off an excellent 3 days in his company and he even taught us a few words of Swahili! We would recommend Mufasa travel for their attention to detail in the arrangements they made and for the excellent driver and vehicle they provided.
