Taswira Tanzania - it’s just the beginning
5/5

My second time on Safari with Taswira, I didn’t think you could improve on perfection but George and Halpha did just that. From the moment we were met at the airport to the sad goodbye at the end I couldn’t have asked for anything better. The trucks are comfortable for easy viewing of the wildlife, the accommodation was brilliant and the food plentiful and tasty. Every day was a new experience, even saw a white rhino. We are already talking about our next Safari with Taswira for 2025. George and Halpha are experienced guides and safety is a priority, do yourself a favour go on Safari with Taswira!

Excellent and knowledgeable safari operator, who went beyond our expectations.
5/5

Taswira Safaris are the pinnacle of providing you with delivering your bucket list of African wildlife, right to the vehicle! We saw it all and more - I never imagined we would get so close to lions, hippos, giraffes, zebras and more! Not just one or two but so many!! George and Halpha were the epitome of excellent hosts and guides - our every wish from a large group of 11 Aussies was met without issue. We stayed at luxurious tented lodges and more, had excellent cuisine and still had time in the late afternoon for our obligatory swim; and drinks, after our safari drives. Thanks guys for helping us achieve our African dream! We hope it is “just the beginning” for our future African adventures with Taswira.

Romantic 13 Day Safari
5/5

Our experience with Taswira was excellent from beginning to end.

Before the trip, Caroline was very helpful and responsive in answering all our questions and helping us to customize an itinerary to fit our budget and everything we wanted to see and do.

From the moment we arrived in Africa, George stepped in and made sure we had everything we needed for the rest of the trip. The jeep was spacious and surprisingly comfortable for the long hours we spent bouncing around on the unpaved roads. There was never a lack of clean drinking water or cold local beers wherever we went, and he made sure all of the park gates and hotel check-ins went smoothly.

George was also great about customizing our meals, free time, and game drives based on what we wanted and how we were feeling. Once we got to the Serengeti, he let us choose between trying to find and follow the Migration, stay closer to the camp, or go chasing down specific animals if we could. At one point, he got a hot tip about a leopard, and knowing we hadn’t seen one yet, managed to get us to the right tree just before it left. When we had just about lost hope of ever seeing a wild rhino at Ngorongoro Crater, George managed to spot one with the binoculars from over a mile away!

Knowing we were interested in local food and culture, he set us up with a walking tour and local lunch in one of the villages on our way back to the airport, even though it wasn’t on the original itinerary. We also just enjoyed talking with George and all the resort staff about the area, the animals, and had some great conversations. The meals were always good, whether it was a 5-course hotel dinner or a picnic lunch on the hood of the jeep. The coffee and tea are excellent and always grown locally, which was a wonderful surprise for me. All of our rooms in each lodge were better than in the pictures, with all of them – even the tent – having spacious layouts, high ceilings, and incredible views. We had a herd of waterbuck less than 10 feet from our balcony at Rhino Lodge, and needed a staff member to chase away a water buffalo that kept guarding our tent at Hippo Trail Camp!

When we finished our Safari section of the trip, we went to Zanzibar with a local guide and driver that was supplied by Taswira. We toured Stone Town and Prison Island, learning all about the history of Zanzibar. On the way to our final destination, we toured a spice farm and had lunch there with fresh fruit and spices grown right there. We ended our trip with a couple of days at an ocean resort in Nungwi, which included snorkeling off of Mnemba Island as well as swimming with sea turtles!

We loved every minute of our trip, and couldn’t have asked for a better guide to show us the wonders of Tanzania.

George was exceptional. He took very good care of us and was extremely knowledgeable.
5/5

I recently went on a safari trip with Taswira. We had an amazing time for two weeks. We went to five national parks and saw every animal imaginable. Including all the big five. We also spent time with the local tribes one day and another day touring Arusha. The trip was well crafted. The lodging was comfortable, and the food was very good.

Our guide George who is one of the owners of Taswira took very good care of us. He spent extra time looking for different animals and had a great knowledge of the culture and wildlife.

There were four of us and two of the guys had some physical challenges including one of them in a wheelchair. George came up with a system to make getting in and out of the Land Rover simple.

I would give them a five-star rating. This was a trip of a lifetime for me.

Great Safari Experience!!
5/5

Great safari experience. Alfa was a great host and driver. He was very attentive to our needs and even provided a home cooked meal during the lunch break that was personally made by his wife. He pointed out many of the animals during the safari and stopped to provide us some great photo opportunities. I would highly recommend Alfa for any future safari experiences.

Enjoyable, authentic and professional!
5/5

This was my first African safari experience which more than met my expectations. Although we were a largish group, we travelled in three separate vehicles allowing us the benefits and flexibility of small group travel. Our three friendly, charming, knowledgable and professional guides went out of their way to ensure that our experiences of animals, plants, villages, schools and special projects left us with hopefully a more rounded impression of life in Tanzania than when we had started.
Well done Taswira!

Fantastic Taswira
5/5

How lucky that I was part of a trip to Tanzania in June 2019 It was a fabulous experience due largely to our 3 Taswira guides under the overall leadership of George. Together they did their best to make sure we saw an incredible variety of animals, culture and scenery. They were knowledgeable, warm, friendly, all spoke English and very capable drivers. The trip was unforgettable and I credit Taswira with its success

SPIRIT of Tanzania
Just soooo lucky- “Asante sana”. A recent trip to Tanzania with Taswira Africa Safaris was sure to be a positive, exciting experience due to the knowledge and intuition of three caring, thoughtful, professional and enthusiastic guides (Marafiki nzuri George, Halfa na Said). From the beginning to the end of the trip all questions were answered and all members of the tour group were supported to have a safe, fantastic experience. The extensive range of animals viewed close up from the safety of enclosed 4 WD vehicles was amazing, the visits to schools, tribal villages (Maasai, Hadzabe, Datoga, Chagga) and the Shanga bead project added authentic cultural experiences and insights into Tanzanian life and Spirit, and the personal life stories shared by the team, dancing and singing created a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. “Napenda Taswira. Sawa kabisa. Maisha marefu.” すごい。 AKA:colleen (Just the beginning- the journey continues.)
