Invaluable
5/5

My group had been on a two-week safari and while we were out of touch, our flight back to Johannesburg had been cancelled. When our guide, Fortune, picked us up we told him of our difficulties in finding another flight and he took over the search for flights while we toured Victoria Falls. Not only did he find us a flight, but he drove us wherever we wanted to go and have us interesting facts about the area, the animals, the people. He was very kind and very friendly!

He was the best ever…would give him 20 stars if I could. Incredibly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable

Fortune was our guide and he exceeded being amazing. He went way above and beyond to help us out of a flight cancellation situation…took all of the stress out of it and took care of it while we enjoyed a fabulous lunch at a place with the best views you will ever see…near Victoria Falls. He graciously took care of our every need and his recommendations were awesome. We felt like we were with a good friend after a short time with him. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful in every way and a great pleasure to spend time with. I can’t recommend this company enough…it will exceed your every expectation.

I gave the wrong date when I initially booked the Chobe Day Tour and didn’t realize it until I called Fortune to ask where he was…he was very understanding and booked me the next day. The tour went off without a hitch - many thanks to Fortune!

"Surpassed our expectations a wonderful experience"
4/5

Having spent our first week in Cape Town, we flew to Zimbabwe for the second week of our South African adventure. Waiting at the airport for our party of six with a minibus to take us to our hotel was Fortune Ndlovu from Forche Tours and Travel. On route to our hotel Fortune gave us a bit of Zimbabwean history, their cultural customs, and traditions.

He had arranged a bespoke compact itinerary for us. Although the programme changed slightly, this was well co-ordinated by Fortune, who organised different vehicles and drivers to take us to and from our destinations. Everything went like clockwork.

On our first night Fortune arranged a fantastic African cultural evening at The Boma Dinner and Drum Show. This was an interactive evening; the food was tasty, and we had fun getting on down playing the drums – it was a vibe!

We experienced the wonder of Victoria Falls, it was awesome. The spray from the force of the water came at us from all angles - we got absolutely drenched. We definitely needed raincoats! We also flew by helicopter above the Falls – this activity was recommended by Fortune, the view was breath-taking.

Other highlights of our trip were the stunning views from The Lookout Café at Victoria Falls; a sunset cruise with dinner along the Zambezi River; vintage train journey with drinks and canapes on the Zambia side of ; safari cruise along The Chobe River.

Our trip also included a full-day safari, with a picnic lunch. Unfortunately, we didn’t see all the big-five, but it was amazing to see birds and animals in their natural habitat, up close and personal.

Overall, Fortune did us proud and we would definitely recommend his services if you are interested in visiting Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia.

A ‘BIG’ thank you to Forche Tours and Travel for a memorable holiday.

Exceptional Service
5/5

Fortune our tour operator from Forche Tours made our holiday arrangements smooth and well organised, communication with Fortune was very good he returned our calls and emails promptly everything was organised via emails and phone. Fortune made all our bookings for hotels excursions and transportation. When we arrived in Zimbabwe our vehicle was waiting to take us to the hotel Fortune made all the bookings for our party of 6 people our first evening we went to the Boma Restaurant to experience the local food and culture, the next day we went to Victoria Falls and had a Helicopter ride well worth doing, on the evening we went on the sunset dinner cruise on the river absolutely beautiful, other tours included Safaris in Botswana and enjoying the locals restaurants like The Look Out Restaurant in Zimbabwe was amazing. We crossed over the border to Zambia for the steam train experience if you want to do the train make sure to have the 5 course meal. Be prepared to pay for the visas when your in Africa Forche Tours made sure it went smoothly and the mini buses were waiting for us the other side of the border to continue the tours. Overall we had a fantastic holiday that was good value for money thanks to Fortune and his team.

Diverse and comprehensive tour around all of Zimbabwe
5/5

We are a family of four -- my wife, our two kids aged 3 and 9, and myself. We live in Europe and have just returned from a 3.5 week long tour in Zimbabwe. The entire tour was organized by Forche Tours and Travel, specifically Mr. Fortune Ndlovu. I contacted Forche Tours and Travel, as well as 5 other safari/tour companies in Zimbabwe, only about 4 weeks prior to our planned trip and gave them a rough idea of what we're hoping to see and where to do. All companies I communicated with were quite forthcoming and eager to please, so I ended up creating a rough itinerary on my own and sent the same routing/schedule to everyone to get a sense of feasibility and cost. At that point, three companies stopped being responsive, and three provided quotes but two were quite high and required a number of sacrifices to be made in terms of quality and time. Only Mr. Fortune's messages genuinely seem to be focused on our own wishes and budget and I felt that he was the only person I communicated with who really wanted to help us be able to afford the trip and make something special happen, rather than just "plug" us into a tour template and make as much money as possible. So, we ended up going with Mr. Fortune and his Forche tours. We paid a deposit of 10% online through his website and paid the remainder all in cash when we actually arrived in Harare. Mr. Fortune picked us up on arrival and stayed with us for 24 days as he drove us around all of Zimbabwe and organized the trip and activities at every step. Essentially, it was like having a private driver and concierge with us all the time so that we could focus only on enjoyment, new experiences, and learning. The latter was especially important to me and I was extremely pleased to see that Mr. Fortune is very well-spoken, educated, informed, and insightful -- he was able to answer all my questions and discuss complex topics, from animal behaviour to history of different ethnic groups in Zimbabwe to diversity of religions, complexities of politics, environmental and climate change issues -- it was really incredibly informative and interesting. Our routing was roughly Harare--Mana Pools--Imire--Nyanga--Gonarezhou--Great Zimbabwe--Matopos---Hwange--Victoria Falls and we thought it was a really good combination of game drives, village visits, cultural and historical sites, ruins, natural beauty and geological wonders, quite a bit of everything. Our accommodations were great everywhere, food excellent, activities amazing. All in all, we're very happy with our trip and the way it was organized by Forche Tours and Travel and implemented by Mr. Fortune who was with us the whole way. Zimbabwe is a fascinating and an incredibly safe country and we would highly recommend everyone to visit it and when doing so, to feel confident in traveling with Forche Tours and Travel.
