Memories for a lifetime
I spent months, yes months, searching for the right tour company for our honeymoon. Seriously, we couldn’t have found a better company. Organization and communication were top-notch. We always felt like we were in good hands. From the first email exchanges with Nick sorting out our perfect itinerary to Pendo (who we can’t thank enough) taking care of every question, concern, and a very big last-minute rearrangement - like the day before arrival situation, and finally, to our guide, Khalifa, everyone and everything was absolutely AMAZING.
Khalifa’s good eyes and eagerness to spot animals brought us lots of good luck. Of course, our jeep, Pumba, also deserves a shoutout for getting us through those bumpy and rain-soaked roads (we went at the end of May)! Khalifa is very knowledgable, personable, and funny. He is also very respectful of nature, the animals, and the regulations/rules. He pointed out so many different plants and animals to us, and we’ve come home with tons more knowledge than when we arrived. We saw the Big Five and many other animals. But, the absolute highlight of the trip was witnessing a crazy morning hunt by two different prides of lions!! Which Khalifa told us is rare to encounter! We wish to be back in the jeep with Khalifa trying to spot an elusive leopard or a lazy lion.
Asante Sana to Pendo, Khalifa, and everyone at Lion King Adventures for making this trip one for the books. Truly a trip of a lifetime.

Amazing and Caring! We would definitely book with them again
It was one of the best trips ever for me. We booked the safari on short notice so I wasn’t really sure in advance but the Lion King Staff was so helpful and responsive from the very beginning - they made it so easy and comfortable for us the relax. Besides our wonderful guide Ozzy, the amazing wildlife and nature we saw I want to mentioned two things especially: Lion King adventures is caring about sustainability! We were one of the few people who always had picnic for lunch with delicious food in reusable containers. No waste/garbage!!! Instead of lunchboxes that are usually thrown away afterwards..I loved that aspect, since it contributes essentially to sustaining the parks as they are. And also: we often took alternative routes away from the crowd and were able to see the animals by ourselves with much more peace. This of course was due to Ozzys knowledge…

Gilbert is an excellent guide.
We had a wonderful safari. Our tour guide Gilbert was knowledgeable, experienced, and excellent at his job. We saw a huge array of animals - elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, hippos, and more. The food was delicious, and the lodges we stayed at were extremely nice. It was an adventure that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Reliable, communicative, and competent
We chose Lion King to do a seven day tour in the Northern Circuit. The company is very well organized and the staff is competent and reliable. The booking was smooth, we had zero hiccup during the tour, and the comfort level was above and beyond our expectations.
We especially want to thank and recommend our guide Mwita, who is very knowledgeable about the animals and the parks. He has eagle eyes for animal spotting! We had so many exciting moments watching animals in action up close such as lions feeding, mating, giraffes running and so much more.
On top of that, Mwita is an excellent driver who used to be a car mechanic, so you don’t have to worry about your Jeep breaking down in the middle of the road. His love and passion for nature and wild animals really shine through and we feel very lucky to have met him and have had him as our guide for this unforgettable experience. Try to request Mwita as your guide if possible!
We feel sad ending our Safari trip, but it has been truly wonderful to see the amazing landscapes of Tanzania and the beautiful animals that were born to roam on the endless plain. "Serengeti shall not die."
We would definitely consider to come back to Tanzania in the future to visit other National Parks and Lion King Adventures would be our first choice.

Amazing adventure with Macha where there were no worries and everything was perfect
This experience was incredible and booking it through Lion King Adventures was amazing because absolutely everything was taken care of and all we needed to do was show up and enjoy the animals, culture, and accommodations. Our guide Macha was an incredible walking encyclopedia of knowledge for not only the animals, but history and culture of Tanzania. Without a guide like Macha we would not have been as fortunate to see nearly as many leopards as we did. His eagles eyes would spot tails and limbs in trees from hundreds of meters away that were unrecognizable for us. Seeing all the cats and elephants up close was an amazing and eye opening experience.
We did the luxury accommodations which we thought were amazing for the value. The food was incredible and top notch, and the service at the lodges were impeccable.
All in all, this was one of my favorite trips that I've ever been on, and I cannot recommend it enough to others.

layers and lunch boxes are key
We originally booked a safari as part of our honeymoon in 2020, but due to the thing that shall not be named, all seemed lost. Thanks to the amazing team at Lion King Adventures, we were finally able to make it a reality in 2022. Pendo and Anna made sure we had all the necessary info without us having to ask. They were amazingly professional, responsive, and helpful along the entire process.
Then theres Mr GoodLuck - a gentleman and a scholar. He made sure we got the most out of our entire trip by brining us to the best spots, avoiding crowded areas (yes there are such even on safaris) where possible and answering all sorts of questions related (or not) to animals, local food and culture. GoodLuck wasn’t just our guide. He is an ambassador for the art that is Safari with the breadth of his naturalist knowledge and good humour.
Once in a lifetime experience
The Safari over 8 days in Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorogoro and Lake Manyara can be described with only one word „perfect“. Our guide Ozzy was the best we could ever dream of, with so much expertise and fun. Thanks so much for this once in a lifetime experience.

A great adventure with Lion Kings!
From the start till the end, a really well organized trip by the company and our guide Peter. The hotel with the staff and meals were awesome und delicious. On our safari trip we saw 18 lions with their babys, some elefants, giraffes and a lot of other animals. We also visited a massai village that was very interesting. My wife and me really recommend that trip to our family and friends in Germany. Awesome!!!

Knowledgeable, fun, the best!
Our family of five went on a 7 night safari tour with Lion King Adventures. Each day surpassed our expectations! During the planning stage of our trip, communication with Lion King Adventure was always prompt and informative. Our family arrived at two different airports and Lion King Adventures was there for both arrivals. From the moment we got into the jeep on our first day, everything was seamless. Our first stop was Tarangire national park, it did not disappoint! Elephants, lions, ostriches, and zebras (to name a few) abound. And the lunch! Lion King Adventures supplies a chef prepared hot lunch everyday while on safari. We are a family of vegetarians, and meat eaters, everyone was taken care of, and the food was delish! We next went to Serengeti national park for three nights. This was a highlight for most of us! The animal viewing was great! We also spent time in Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. We could not have asked for a better planned trip.
The best part of our trip was our guide, Gilbert. Not only did Gilbert have a keen eye for wildlife, he was extremely knowledgeable and excited to share all that he knew. One of our family members was set on seeing a Black Rhino. By the last day we still had not seen one. But with Gilbert as our leader we knew we’d get lucky enough to spot one, and indeed we spotted four! Gilbert was diligent and kind and by the last night he felt like family! If you book with lion King Adventures and are lucky enough to get Gilbert as your guide, prepare for fun and lots of sight seeing! He made sure we got to see all Big 5, and so much more.
We haven’t even left Tanzania yet and we’ve already recommended Lion King Adventures to friends and family! Thank you Lion King Adventures for ensuring our first trip to Tanzania is not our last!
